Pavia & his couple of NMSU teammates - as well as his HC Jerry Kill - knocked off Freeze at JHS last season - and will get a chance to do it again in two weekends or so - this time as Vanderbilt -

Vanderbilt can beat Texas in Nashville - this is the first VU team we've ever had in the SEC that rolls into the stadium with a few guys that could've played for the late-80's early-90's UMiami Hurricanes - starting with the QB -

Vandy caught Bama at the perfect time. They are getting Texas at the wrong time.

Vandy is a great story this year. I noticed the construction and love the fact they have an alumni at the helm. I don’t think anyone who has watched the season to this point can feel too safe about predictions.

You’d hate to see it. That would be a shame.

This is a VERY dangerous game for Texas considering what happened with UGA.

Your team will either be pissed off and put on a huge performance or they will wilt under the pressure.

This game will tell us a lot about Sark's future in this conference as a head coach.

Nobody at Texas is overlooking them.

Not after they assumed a win vs Georgia was a foregone conclusion, I would hope not.

Everybody and their brother knows Texas assumed that past performance this season was indicative of future results from the Bulldogs, so this would be another big game this season where they got off to a slow start.

Ditto for that asinine "This game is a yardstick for where we are as a program" routine that Sark trotted out all week during his media appearances, since he had already chalked up the win in his mind. It was polite lip service that you dole out right before you play some bottom feeder program.

Then they played the game.

You’re blaming Ewers, now? FFS, we have a terrible QB. Very fast yes, but a bad QB.

Ewers is not. He may be pissed because he took your sorry arrogant asses to the playoff last year and gave you the best season in 20+ years and decided to come back, and you shite on him every day with an unproven, back up Cole bottle name that beat up on ULM.

In all reality y’all are acting like it wasn’t a 15-23 ballgame in the third with UGA backed up on their 10 yard line with a 3rd and 10. If Texas gets that stop, there’s a good chance they score and it’s tied or a 1 point ballgame.

You're right - it wasn't a 15 point close game. If our QB wasn't daydreaming about his Lambo and InstaHo GF, and the WRs didn't have frying pans for hands, we could've hung 50 on your entitled asses in your own house.

The What If game is fun.

Besides, that drive where we were pinned deep resulted in a TD and was the most complete drive the Dawgs executed the whole night. Outstanding point. Thanks for bringing it up.

I can’t remember the last time Vandy was ranked, especially this late in the year.

Pavia is the best leader and definitely the smartest qb you’ll face all year. Kid is an assassin.

They don’t have the talent to match you, they didn’t to match us. But make some mistakes, take them lightly and be predictable on defense at the end of the day you’ll be watching goalposts head for the river again.

I think you’ve learned at our expense not to do that.

I do expect we’ll see something I don’t know if we ever have before at Vandy, a sellout that will be a very hostile crowd for the visitors.

Sark has huge respect for Kirby. And all true Texas fans know Georgia’s the gold standard you have to beat to be a championship caliber team. If they want that, we’ll have to earn the rematch.

As he should, and if he didn't, he needs to strongly reconsider after Saturday. Any honest Texas fan will say they thought this win was in the bag.

Don’t feed the trolls. Most all of the real UT fans on this very site said it was a toss-up. Several even went so far to say it depended on which version of Ewers we got. Turns out they were right.

Hindsight is 20/20. It's easy to play the reticence card on Monday.

There have been a few folks in burnt orange in the immediate aftermath of the game who were straightforward with their takes that they weren't expecting to get manhandled at the LOS, nor did they expect the game itself to feel as lopsided as it did. They were in the minority.

That said, Dawg fans went into this game watching all of the hype swirling around Texas, and if we noticed it, you had better believe that Coach Smart and the coaching staff did, too. Doubly so for the players.

I'm not saying that you're one of those Horns fans who is backpedaling on an ex post facto basis, but let's not pretend that the majority of Texas fans weren't smug as frick about the entire affair until the game kicked off.

A&M fans know.....but I think Texas handles Vande easily and they get exposed finally. But Arkansas is a different story.

Once they hit game 2 loss....and then finally the 3rd loss...

Texas fans stop showing up to games. All the talk about Sark starts and him not being up to SEC coaching.

Ewers is done at Texas.

Basically all hell breaks loose and they go back to their standard in 2022 and prior.

Nice one year run in the Big 12....Sark. INSANE how the media was picking Texas over GA when Sark has had ONLY one successful year at Texas. Idiots all of them. Sark is a good coach but still learning how to be an effective SEC HC.

I always knew this was coming. Just had to wait for the GA game and then have predicted the landslide that is coming. Their fan base is the weakest of them all. Told all my austin sip buddies they better enjoy all this hyped love as it stops on Oct 19th.

Here was our conversation before the game. It doesn’t read smug as frick to me?
