Could be that 120 years was enough to make people finally forget.

I want Auburn, Tennessee and LSU to lose every fricking game they play.

People will claim LSU is to blame, but most people stopped with that shite once the 4-team playoff started and selective enforcement of rules became obvious.

Who gives a crap about SEC pride. You care about your school, not the freaking conference. It isn’t necessary anymore.

I went against Bama, Auburn and UGA in every NC they played. I go against UT bs tOSU. Why would I blindly support a team because they are in my conference?

Conference is too big now and conference pride is silly

With NIL, I don’t think conference branding matters anymore for recruiting. 5 years ago, come play in the SEC was a big deal for recruits.

Now, its every man for himself with schools and kids follow the cash. So member schools had real incentive to keep the SEC brand high, because that helped all schools in recruiting.

That may be a piece of what you are seeing.
