Bama did that the entire game against LSU last year. Totally uninspired and boring performance

They only gained around 300 yards against one of the worst teams in the FCS and almost got shut out for an entire half.

The offense was horrible (not shocking). I just don’t understand how a team like LSU can look so good on defense but look so bad on offense. We have some really good players on offense and Burrow is not a terrible QB. I have seen very few of his passes that were not very catchable balls. I’m not saying he’s Tom Brady or anything even remotely that good but it’s not like he’s missing his receivers by 10 yards.

The offensive line just looks like they are not even trying to block.

So still better than the last 5 or 6 QBs Bama has had. Because aside from Tua, none of the Bama QBs have been impressive by any means.

What I would give if Ole Miss could have LSU's defense this year. Freezus fricked us by spending all of our $$ on offensive players and going cheap on buying defensive players. So, we missed out on players like Leo Lewis because MSU was able to pay him more and then he turned around and narced on us.

LSU's fans melted because we didn't push SLU's zero points into negative numbers. Plus Saban won.

Honestly I'll never understand our fans. There's some good people but sooo many dipshits in the mix.

For whatever reason LSU's identity is good defense and special teams and a offense that doesn't turnover the ball much but doesn't move it much either.

Coker and Sims were both better than Etling or Burrows.

I agree that Ensminger is still calling an Etling game, but if you can't see a difference b/w Burrow and Etling, you might be related to Les Miles.

But, if you're the poster I vaguely remember from years gone by w a Teurlings connection, you're just a bad reference when it comes to evaluation overall.

Shut out win, and we will probably make Meltdown Time

We go through this same song and dance every year. We show a lot of vulnerabilities against weaker opponents, and "rantards" realize that these are going to severely hinder us against stronger opponents. Last year, we look weak against Syracuse. People freak out. Others tell them to shut up and that a win is a win. Next thing you know, we lose to Troy at home and yet again have no hope against Alabama.

The fans wanted to see some greatest show on turf stuff.

The players and coaches wanted a walkthrough and stay healthy for next week.

The defense might be the best we've had in a long while, unfortunately some injuries/suspensions are mounting up there.

OL was a joke last night, they did have 3 new starters out there because of suspensions and injuries, but good lord we were in max protect at times against southeastern.

To be fair Burrow also didnt help holding onto the ball forever, probably partly because we were in max protect with 2 maybe 3 guys running routes against 6 or 7 defenders trying to get open.

Just a shite show offensively. Charles coming back next week should help the OL a great deal.

And you don’t think that playing behind a better offensive line has anything to do with that?

Etling and Burrow would both have similar stats if you stuck them at Bama.

That’s the fricking point I’m making. I’m saying it’s not all on them. It’s not like they are throwing uncatchable balls or making bad decision.

I’m saying the offensive line and scheming is the real problem and not the QB.

Jalen Hurts is a god awful passer but since he plays on a team with a good offensive line and a good offensive scheme, he can look like a decent QB. So would Burrow and Etling would have too.

But you just want to stick to this “it’s all because the QB sucks” bullshite that is simply not the case.

Both Etling and Burrow are average QBs just like the last 4 or 5 at Bama have been average QBs. If they were above average, they would be starting QBs in the NFL.

But continue to believe that Bama has had great QBs all you want. It’s not true, but you can believe it.

No, no... here’s what you literally just posted:

quote:

So still better than the last 5 or 6 QBs Bama has had

And there’s simply no way for you to objectively defend that stance. Hell, McCarron was a Heisman finalist, and you just said Etling and Burrow were better than him.

ETA: And this statement is utterly absurd:

quote:

If they were above average, they would be starting QBs in the NFL.

Tim Tebow
Eric Crouch
Chris Weinkie
Troy Smith
Jason White
Danny Weurfel
Gino Torretta

All won Heisman Trophies and all sucked arse in the league.
