Napier said Crunchy was a no-show at Sonic Saturday night, so I don't know who would've gotten his azz kicked. I guess the jury is still out.

Mullen is a better coach than Napier, he would have taken the field goal and not gone for 2 unnnecessarily

I think they are both doing well. Kelly has an insanely depleted roster. It’s insane how much Orgeron just threw in the towel. The big tests are still upcoming.
Same for Florida really. I think Napier looks like he’s got them headed in the right direction. Assuming he can keep up in recruiting.

About the same grade. Probably a B for both. Napier was thrown into the fire. Will have a better idea of Kelly in 20 days.

It makes some difference... but making a read against a high school secondary is different than making a read against a NFL secondary. If your opponents are worse, tackles will be made and reads will be made against an inferior opponent without a significant increase in how well the team's playing.
That's not the say the improvement isn't happening, it's just not going to be something you can show until you face an equivalent team later in the season.

Kelly has the 8th most talented roster in the country. He had the spring and summer to prepare for shite arse FSU and the only thing that saved him from losing to State was that 8th most talented roster.
Most of the game he was getting out schemed by a Key West, dope smoking football coach. If Brian Kelly had State's talent level, he loses.
