What Exactly Earns A Team An SEC Championship In Baseball?…

Is the team that wins the SEC Tournament considered the “SEC Champion” in the sport of college baseball? Or does the team that wins the SEC Regular Season Championship get the title of being the “SEC Champion”?
Just wanted clarification from fans of more esteemed, accomplished baseball programs as opposed to deferring to the opinion of those of us who root for a wee lil natty-less baseball program like Tennessee.

Regular season. Anyone that says the tournament doesn't know shite. Winning a conference championship over 30 games vs 10 opponents in 3 game series is WAY more difficult than getting hot for a week when other teams are more concerned about the week after than they are the tourney itself.

Regular season is more of an accomplishment.

Regular season without a doubt. A week long double then single elimination tournament is not the best way to determine the SEC champ.
With that being said, good season.

I think it will be better when it goes to single elimination. Like basketball, regular season is the champ, imo.
Football is different because there’s an actual championship game.
To me these post season tournaments can be detrimental due to chances of injury and such. We won them both a couple of years ago and it didn’t help at all.

Real programs worry about the end game which happens to be a college World Series championship. Something Vols fans know nothing about. But congrats. Good game “not trying “

We just aren’t a “real program” like mighty LSU baseball is though as I already alluded to in my original post. Hence, me asking that question!
Thanks for your input though, needed to hear that from someone like you who actually understands the sport better than us Vols do because of the nattys your team has won in the past.

Lmao
Don’t be mean! I support wee lil natty-less Tennessee baseball, thus I can’t help but display my pussy-ness for all to see whenever I attempt to talk about college baseball with fans of more esteemed, accomplished programs like mighty LSU baseball.

Like that would change shite on here lol. I can see the narrative shifting from “win a natty first” to “1<7” now

LSU sure was worked up yesterday. Odd. Does that mean outside a nice run in the 90s LSU is wannabe?

You guys have celebrated your SEC tourney run more than any other fanbase this week.

I mean LSU has won more CWS since 2020 than Tennessee has won in its entire history so I guess you can call them a wannabe lmao

You dipshits have boasted about how many home runs yall hit only to get doubled up by LSU on a real field in Hoover in the same amount of games. No wonder no one takes yall seriously when yall don’t have that bitch field to bail yall out

an SEC Championship means you have a really good team.. but that’s all it means..
winning in Omaha is more important.. you have 1 win in 20 years.. that should tell you all you need to know
