Get a new nickel back. Kary Vincent Jr got abused. Stingley was great, I can live with the way Fulton played. He had one major screw up but everything else was fine. We really need one of the the other freshman CBs to get up to speed quick

We had some key guys on every level on D get injured last night, some not coming back in (Lawrence and Logan). Also, someone in the know is saying on the rant that LSU (for whatever stupid reason) decided not to administer IV’s at half. If true that’s just retarded

The next time the LSU defense faces a decent offense will be in October when the temps will be 20 degrees cooler. The defense will be in prime form by the time it needs to be.

I think Aranda was expecting Chaisson to be able to cause pressure so he didn’t call many blitzes but that didn’t happen. Also losing Lawrence was big bc he has a knack for collapsing the pocket.

Hi Marge. Just a heads up. Buc-ees has half off on Vagisil this week. Load up. Stay fresh for your man.

In my opinion, this was like the first game of the season for the defensive backs. They only had about 5 balls thrown to them against Georgia southern due to the triple option. I was concerned that our D-backs were going to be a little behind this game because of that. You always make the most improvement between the first and second games of the season. Now they have some film to study of their play and can go out this week in practice and improve.

Again, just my 2 cents.

So to be clear, LSU fans are happy with their defensive performance?

You really are reaching this morning, aren’t you? You should be ecstatic we beat the team you cower from.

And before you say you’re “actually interested in anything LSU can do to improve”, we all know it’s another weak troll attempt.

Give it a rest, your shtick is tiresome this morning!

Happy with the huge win. I'm looking at the schedule and at the plethora of talent we have. I can't speak for other LSU fans, but I'm not worried about the defense at all other than the couple of injuries last night. Unless the SEC can somehow keep nighttime temps about 90 degrees for the rest of the season, the LSU defense will be back to shutting offenses down in no time.

Did A&M win?

Did A&M score when it mattered?

You paid Jimbo how much to not score?

Rent free bitch!

Texas passed all over y’all and they really aren’t that good

Fulton is just not good enough against UTs WRs and UTs WRs are very good. Herman picked on Stingley twice and after that said frick it and went back to Fulton’s side. Harris at safety got pick on a lot when Delpit went out for cramping. UT did a very good job of finding LSU’s weak spots in coverage.

Truth is the secondary was in position to make plays and simply didn’t. And when we played off in soft coverage we missed tackles.

3 of the 4 starters have a legit track record over time so I’ll chalk it up to a bad game, a few bad reads and missed tackles so no panic and just make tackles and reads as they have proven to do in the past.

The 4th starter Stingley held Johnson to a subpar game. Played best of the bunch last night.

As to the D as a whole? Need to generate more pressure. Be it from DL or Blitz packages. Need to harass opposing QB’s more than we did last night.

Can’t give up chunk plays.

But no panic. This is a very good D that had a bad night. Fulton miss played 3 balls. I think last year when his games were graded out it was like 5 or 6 for the year. He graded out much higher than Greedy did. He is bit banged up maybe that’s an issue?

Delpit? Not a great game but has a track record of being great.

We will see but do you take one game over a career and say we need to fix a lot?

I say we are fine and return to LSU DBU form next week.

you've already been answered. We'll play against crappier qbs and offenses. Mond sucks. State sucks. Ole Miss sucks. Utah state sucks. We may struggle against bama but maybe our offense can keep up.

Rest Fulton the next month. It's quite clear he isn't 100% coming off injury/surgery.

We gave NWSt, Vandy, Utah St, and a bye before Florida. Play Flott, Ward, and Raydar Jones and find out who's got game.

Get Fulton healthy for the stretch run.

And keep scoring on offense.

The only team on our schedule remotely close to Texas level in the passing game is Bama.

The heat played a huge role. That’s why we were so much worse in the second half. The only “disappointment” was Chaisson, in the sense that he couldn’t get any pressure one on one. As someone else said, think Aranda thought he could get pressure with four.

He’ll realize that he can’t and make adjustments. We looked much better when we brought the blitz the last few drives.

We gave up too much underneath and couldn’t tackle for shite.

I’m not worried.
