True. Publicly. Im sure the University presidents have a better idea of the full picture.
The most important rules aren’t written down and explicit. And they don’t require legally admissible evidence. Causing harm to the SEC and not backing down is a big deal
The SEC NEEDS to have it’s own set of regulations governing the sport (for 16 participants). The NCAA and our joke of a congress will not be stepping up to do what needs to be done. So it will fall on the SEC to set some sort of guardrails to end the status quo. Kiffin and lsu are threatening the power of the only institution with any hope of asserting any control and fairness
LSU won’t be kicked out because they will stop. What’s happening Thursday is about giving the conference the power needed to assert control. Loss of conference membership, TV $, etc = death penalty
Fans and others don’t like lsu because arrogant people aren’t like-able. There’s some great lsu folks out there, but stereotypes exist for a reason and don’t apply to everyone
How would you feel about kicking LSU out if there is no real proof that they coerced the athletes into suing the SEC?

Hey man, don’t go around spreading outright lies like this….
It’s been going on since the 1920’s

The presidents and league office won’t do it unless they know. It may or may not be presented publicly and posted on this forum, but i don’t see why they would kick out lsu unless there was a real threat. It’s not going to come down to that. The ramifications are too serious for LSU to do anything other than bend the knee and submit

This is some ignorant bull shite if I’ve ever read it. If a “rule” is u written, it is not legally enforceable without legal precedent, which there is absolutely zero in this particular case.
Bottom line is Kiffin pushed the envelope and exposed ambiguous and inconsistent rules within the SEC and NCAA machines. SEC (Sankey really) is butt hurt that some podunk lawyers took him to task and is feeling the pressure cause now HIS job is on the line.
It’s all legal posturing and peacocking. Sankey is going to frick around and get his arse fired for this type of shite.
Yes, I’m an LSU fan, but this has much bigger implications. Vandy had a football player on the lawsuit as well, and yet, not a peep about them on this? Shocker.

Your coach colluded with a pro player and the government to sue and cause harm to the conference you're in so you could bypass agreed upon rules.
Where’s the proof?

No burden is necessary. This isn’t a courtroom. It’s a voluntary association.
You go to a bar. And they don’t want you there. The bouncer can toss you out and doesn’t need a reason

That's like saying the US wouldn't go to Iraq unless they had proof of WMD's. Smart people make dumb mistakes all the time, they have biases just like anyone else.
If LSU isn't actually guilty of coercing these kids, I don't know how they can "submit". The NFL players aren't rostered; they didn't play. What more can LSU do? Nevermind, the fact that this conference has allowed actual pros to compete in the past with no repercussions.
I'm biased but trying to view it logically, I think it's pretty farfetched to believe that LSU was involved in these kids forming a lawsuit that ultimately ended up including the SEC. I'm not sure anyone even foresaw the SEC getting involved, they haven't before.
Why would LSU be involved in a group of 30 athletes suing, many aren't even football players, some have signed with other SEC programs? What good does it do for LSU to organize a suit that ultimately benefits other SEC teams?

I guess drop the lawsuit and publicly state they back the league office and it’s league regulations.

We will see. Kiffin mentions in his post game press conference he has a close relationship with one of the players. It’s unclear what happened and if there was any collusion. But it’s obviously possible when the state AG says “go Tigers” to the press before entering the courtroom

Yeah i don’t think any of that was a mistake in their eyes. Patriot Act passes and they got their mass surveillance. Three letter agencies and military get massive funding upgrades. Good news for big oil and mil industry. All part of the plan. Just like with many high profile situations, the public isn’t usually privy to what the decision makers have going on at the time

Lane publicly stated they left roster spots open past enrollment deadline to add the NFL players at a later date in his post game presser.
All of the above is against SEC rules.
All of the above is against SEC rules.

Loss of institutional control. Encouraging players to sue the conference.

Sankeys incompetence will destroy the league regardless of this shite.

How do you drop a lawsuit when you are not a party?
Posted on 9/8/26 at 8:26 pm to dinosaur
A defendant is a party in a lawsuit, but I get what you're saying.
