Why is a Bama fan being a pansy about a 9th game?

Because they have no faith in their coach or direction of their program. Who could blame them honestly?

We agreed to hang an extra loss on half our conference and for what?

So ESPN could make more money.

Finebaum stated that ESPN wanted to improve their inventory.

I would like to know what $ankey got out of the agreement because it certainly doesn't add up to being in the best interest of the conference in terms of qualifying teams for the playoffs. And as Kirby pointed out, teams are already banged up enough and will not be as competitive against other teams with an easier conference schedule.

In reality, it screwed over SEC towns and campuses because there will be one less home game every other year. It is a loss of a significant amount of revenue regardless of the caliber of the opponent.

None. And got less than none by agreeing to play a Power 4 team every year too. The other power 4 conferences are not doing that.

Eventually SEC will stop scheduling stronger OOC games due to how hard Conf play is.

SEC teams should not schedule a single OOC game with any teams with a pulse. That likely kept Texas out of the playoff. Sure, they probably were not winning it all, but if college football REALLY wants strong early season matchups, they had a golden opportunity to incentivize doing that. IMO they should use the old BCS style computer rankings, and the committee should have the power only to alter the 12th seed, or maybe 11th and 12th in certain circumstances.

Also, Fighting Irish should have no automatic inclusion… join a conference or get shut out.

More revenue for the conference fat-cats.

Absolutely ZERO x (10,000 font) benefit to any of the actual universities.
