What Are Your Favorite March Madness Memories?

Obviously Mississippi State's final four run in 1996 is one, but the first week of the NCAA tournament was always just about my favorite week of the year growing up. We had one of the big satellite dishes and we could get every game. It always fell on spring break week and I'd watch from 10:30 or so in the morning until after midnight when the last game ended. Now, I get to go to work and we're thankful we finally made the NIT after we haven't been anywhere in forever.

Scotty Thurman hitting a last second shot clock 3-pointer over Duke in the final minute of National Championship. Yes, Arkansas....won a basketball championship.....over Duke. Good ole days indeed.

Knocking out Duke and Texas in the Sweet Sixteen/Elite Eight.

Winning our region in 94. Doing it again in 2000 (getting payback against #1 Duke for 94). Winning it all in 06. All were unexpected.
Winning it all in 07 was more of a relief than anything. I had no fun watching our tourney games because anything less than a repeat would've been considered a failure.

Personally... last year DUH.
One of my favs that I remember, probably VCU's run and the World getting introduced to Steph Curry
And one who I now hate ever since meeting their fans in PHX.
Gonzaga.
frick THEM

Man the Illini were amazing that year. I know they lost to UNC, but when they beat Wake Forest that year, it was amazing and kept going. Dee Brown, Deron Williams, Luther Head and James Augustine.

After starting the regular season with a record of 29–0 and winning the Big Ten Conference regular season title outright, the Illini were Big Ten Tournament champions and advanced in the 2005 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament to the National Championship, where they lost to the University of North Carolina Tar Heels 75–70. They ended the season with a conference record of 15–1, and an overall record of 37-2 In 2014, Sports Illustrated voted the 2005 Illinois team as the best team ever to not win a title.

I wanted one so bad in 94. Guess all the Duke "fans" bought 'em up.
