What are some things that you despise about your fanbase?

I'll start with SC:

1. Obsession with Clemson. Sometimes I think our fans enjoy Clemson failures more than South Carolina's success.
2. Our overplaying of Sandstorm. I love it at the beginning of the game or after a big touchdown, but my god we don't need to play it after kicking a field goal against Troy.
3. Sidewalk fans that think Gamecock club members should also put up big $$$ for NIL when they themselves contribute nothing to the University other than watching games on TV.

1) Obsession with Texas / little brother syndrome
2) (not really sure who’s fault it is) but focus on yell leaders and corps when it’s only like 5-10% of student body, but by far the weirdest.

1) stop making excuses about the drive to Como for games
2) stop being so nice to visitors, start acting like an SEC school and throw Slurs around.
3) A lot like #1, poor travel support.
4) Step up our tailgating scene.

The barking at other fans doesn't bother me, but crawling like a dog and barking I despise. It is mostly from students whose parents are going to be mad that the Vineyard Vines slacks they got their son were ruined after he drank 10 White Claws and thought it was a good idea to get on all fours and pretend to be a bulldog right before they walk into the stadium.

I'm going to disagree with you on this. The one time I went to COMO I had a blast. A few fans were stand off ish but the hospitality was great.

College aged kids are going to do obnoxious things regardless of the team, but late-30s fans acting like assholes is a Big 10 thing. I can't really say I've ever had a problem from any opposing fan of an SEC school who was older than late-20s.

I've mentioned the ADPi from Peoria, IL on here before. Absoute smoke show.

I've been to Athens five times for SC games and I always see the barking but I've never seen the crawling like a dog added to it

While small in numbers, your fans have always been a good time in SC.

We have fans that will anticipate the other shoe dropping, when something doesn't go our way. They come off as whiney by saying stuff like "That is so Mizzou", as if fate has something to do with it. Yeah, the 5th down sucked, but it's history..

LOL. Not all sidewalks are the same. Our sidewalk has been a pretty rough path more years than not.

It's worse the other way around. Their entire university was founded out of a hatred of the University of South Carolina and its political enablers. We laugh at Clemson, even though they beat us in football most of the time. They are incapable of doing the same. Even when they were winning national titles, they were obsessed with a 5-win loser program 150 miles to the southeast.

We only care about home football games. It is hard to get the fan base excited about anything else even with the success we have had in other sports.

Mizzou and SC are kindred spirits in our anticipation of disaster and our ability to laugh at ourselves.

I don't disagree. They're equally obsessed with us. But it's so stupid when I see our fans on social media talking smack about Clemson losing a bowl game when SC didn't even make it to a bowl.

Lack of support in baseball has always been wild to me. Hopefully the new stadium will turn that around though.

Yeah I don't like this either. But honestly with the changes in college football, my passion for the sport is dwindling. There's a group of us here in Conway (Gamecocks and Tigers) who are going to Wofford and PC for a weekend game this fall, just to watch the purer FCS game. All of us are disillusioned with the sport right now.

Leaving games early.
We’ve priced all the real blue collar fans out of the stadium. It is more of a fashion statement to be at a game than anything else. (this includes some season ticket holders). They show up, take some pictures for social media and then leave.
Tiger Stadium is a shell of the environment it used to be.

Agreed. Definitely not the same anymore.
