No OC and no OL coach. They literally left us with no warning and it totally shafted everything. We also were without our best WR, Hall and RB. We had grad assistants coaching and an OC who was a HS O-Line coach 3 years ago. All this to say:

The fanbase, regardless of what you see here is undecided. Nobody knows who he is yet. He can motivate, but it's 2 seasons in a row he has finished strong, but started out SOOOOOOOO bad. Almost every game he played the team started the game bad. Regardless of if he beat trash teams, he never lost the locker room and the turnaround just in the fact he won 2 road SEC games gives everyone unity that he deserves 1 more year before judgement. He dang sure better beat someone with a winning record though next season or he's going to be on the hot seat.

Texas was without several players, so that excuse goes way out the window.

Heupel and Elarbee leaving without notice makes me think that has more to do with their working relationship with Odom. Granted in Heupels position you take that HC gig, but you at least talk to your players about it.

For some reason, he thinks he doesn't need a defensive coordinator

Clearly he isn't bright

As long as he keeps getting bowl eligible, he's probably safe. Not too upset about bowl loss. With staff changes I'm not terribly surprised at sloppy offense.

Got to see some defensive improvement next year.

Damn, you guys really do only have one out of the top ten. It looks like Missouri could have signed a great dline class entirely from instate, too.

You might not expect an elite signing class, but your staff should at least halfway lock down the state. I'd be pissed.

Cmon man. He’s not going to even call the defense.

1/2 of the Texas starters were suspended, injured or sitting out for the draft. They sucked this season at full strength. Odom lost an almost inlosable game. He sucks.

This isn't a discussion about how good he is or what he does, someone called out BO for not having a DC and I corrected him. Now if we want to discuss how good RW is, then someone make that thread.

When a team comes out flat, that's on the head coach.

He has the same issues he has had from day 1.

He's a pretty good DC. His decisions on where/how to recruit make sense, as does the kind of staff he tries to build, but his execution sucks.

He doesn't recruit well.
He has trouble building and maintaining a good staff which is a particular problem for him since he is completely dependent on his staff for an offense and for most of the recruiting.
His teams frequently look unprepared and undisciplined. They turn the ball over a lot. They have a lot of stupid penalties. This has been the case since his first game, the bowl game was just exactly as it has been since he started.
I can not point to one game when the talent levels have been similar that he was not completely out coached.

Unless Barry Oder get's a new set of skills, which would probably require a brain transplant, next season will go exactly as this one. We will start off clueless, then reach a point where we can beat the teams we should. We will compete with the 10Rc schools for the bottom of the east.

I expect who is barry will get fired at the end of next season. He doesn't have much of a buyout by design and Sterk knows what he is doing. Otherwise, we will continue to lose ground from Pinkel's high point.

Not a Missouri fan but I thought personally before this game that it was big that they actually had finally beaten a few power 5 opponents, even if they were terrible as before then they lost to everyone that was power 5.

Needless to say, last night's game showed that Tennessee, Florida, and Arkansas were all at the level of group of 5 at the point in the season that they played Missouri. That's sad for them.

When they are more respectable next year, Missouri will again, be a last place team in the SEC East...

Is the question about how BO coached this game, or moving forward.

In this game, BO has never had experience being a head coach with all the time in between for a Bowl Game. That definitely showed. It also showed that we were without a real OC. Mizzou was way too conservative.

Moving forward, missing a bowl game next year is inexcusable, and this is the best team he will have since taking over, assuming Lock is back.

If he struggles in 2018, 2019 will be even worse, as we are missing the talent to compete in the SEC with below par recruiting classes.

If BO makes the right hires, 2018 should be good.

I wasn't impressed at all with the receivers. Missouri looked bad on offense last night.

Pretty sure he didn't draw up a gameplan that said be -4 in the Turnover battle and hike the ball for safety when you have a chance to drive and take the lead.

Beat our asses 2 years in a row.

Make it three next year.

Sad how shitty we are and I feel for Mizzou, at least their fans are honest about this dude.

Pinkel was a GD good coach.
