Based on four weeks of watching games I think this could be the first year in a while in which the East is overall stronger than the West.

The worst of the west is better than the worst of the east (Missouri, South Carolina, Vanderbilt).

But the top three teams in the east (UGA, UT, UK) seem better than the top three teams in the west.

We will see if this holds true within the next couple of weeks.

It's not even close. The west is a dumpster fire this year.

When OM beats UK this narrative will be over.

We have heard this every year for the last couple years. In the end, the West will remain supreme.

BS. Ole Piss will choke that game away. Kentucky is too balance for you this year.

Yep. We'll find out pretty quickly.

East overall record: 21-8
West: 23-5

Head to head: West leads 3-0, but vs the bottom 3

Saturday: UK/Ole Miss
Next Sat: Tenn/LSU; Aub/UGA; Ole Miss/Vandy
15 Oct: Bama/Tenn; State/KY; LSU/UF

They can't run the ball for shite and Levis is the most overrated QB in the country.

West is still stronger.

Already 3-0 in favor of the west, head-to-head.

Even if UGA, UT and UK each win both of their crossovers (they won't) it's really hard to see any other wins for the East.

East H2H ceiling: 6-8
East H2H floor: 3-11

Is this the discussion that goes on in the background while Daddy Georgia and Daddy Alabama do all the real heavy lifting on the national stage?

The West is still better but I think the East is closing the gap some. Hopefully Tennessee finally as emerged from the dark ages

BAMA = UGA
OM < UT
A&M = UK
LSU > UF
ARK > USC
MSU > MISSOU
AU > VU

For the top teams I would give the SECE a slight edge, but after that its all SECW.

The bottom of the West is competitive outside of Auburn who is still somehow 3-1 and better than Missouri.

The bottom of the east is really bad.

The bottom of the east is rancid.

It’s just the top four MIGHT be a little bit better than the other top 4. Hard to say.

Debatable. Missouri just wanted to lose that game more.

I think the entire conference can agree we were embarrassed for everyone involved.

But you are correct, Missouri was the more determined team that day and just would not be denied that hard fought L.

I don't know, nor do I care which is better. But you realize Kentucky gets Chris Rodriguez back this week, right? That might explain why they have not run the ball all that well.

Also, Kentucky is 4th in the SEC in passing while Ole Miss is 10th.

I get that Ole Miss leads the conference in rushing, though, and Kentucky is 13th, I think? Rodriguez should help Kentucky with that.

And it gets more interesting when you consider Ole Miss has played Troy, Central Arkansas, GT and Tulsa, while Kentucky has played Miami, Oh, Florida, YSU and NIU. Florida is much better than GT.

It's way too early to have threads like this, but it will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

Do we really think Auburn is better than Mizzou? Mizzou did everything to lose it. Auburn just sat there.

It's about time the East is worth anything. Totally worthless for over a decade.
