RollTide1987:

Come on the 2010 team went 10-3, and the following Spring in the 2011 draft had 5 total NFL picks, yes 4 were 1st rounders and 1 7th.

The 2019 team went 11-2, without the pick 6's at Auburn is 12-1 (part of the game I know) and had 4 1st round picks, 3 2nd round picks and 2 3rd round picks. The returning guys on last years team that will go in the draft this year, Smith, Najee, the big LT, and others might turn out to be a team that had more total 1st round picks on the field at 1 time for any Saban team. I know the 2017 and 2018 NFL draft, from Saban's 2016 and 2017 teams, produced 4 1st rounders in both drafts and 22 total picks.

I think the 2021 NFL draft will have 4 maybe 5 1st Rounders (I know Waddle will not play this year but he played last year, Moses did not play last year but will play this year) and maybe top the 2017 and 2018 draft in terms of #1's and might match or beat it with total picks in back to back drafts.

So looking at the NFL talent evaluation, that 2019 team might have actually been the most talented team Saban put on the field even without Moses not playing.

They need to print that shite out with a big fat picture of O's ugly arse grinning on it... Should plaster it all over campus, locker rooms, the shitters, and throughout Bryant Hall as a constant reminder... Piss the players off so much that they see nothing but red all week...

That 2010 team had 11 or 12 future first rounders on it. It was chalk full of talent and underachieved relative to the level they were capable of playing. There's a reason why most Alabama fans will tell you the 2010 football team was the most talented team Saban has ever fielded.

Those first rounders were as follows:

Julio Jones (2011)
Mark Ingram (2011)
James Carpenter (2011)
DJ Fluker (2013)
Chance Warmack (2013)
Marcell Dareus (2011)
Dont'a Hightower (2012)
CJ Mosley (2014)
Dre Kirkpatrick (2012)
Mark Barron (2012)
Dee Milliner (2013)

Well I don't know what the CBS folks said yesterday as I did not watch the game. I looked at the LSU game yesterday for a bit and that was it.

Not sure what you are being ruffled about, the NFL draft numbers are what they are. The 2010 Alabama team that went 10-3 had 5 total picks, 4 were 1st rounders including Julio Jones. Last year's Bama team had 9 NFL picks all within the first 3 rounds and 4 1st rounders.

Let's come back to this post in April when the 2021 NFL draft happens and lets add the picks off this years team with the 2019 team and look at the data and compare it to all of Saban's Bama teams from 2007 to 2020.

If this shite would have happened when I was in school I would have personally printed flyers and plastered them all throughout the hallways of Tuttwiler Hall... After I departed in the morning of course.. ;-)

Again, I understand your views and certain Bama fans opinions are of that 2010 team are but the NFL draft does not exactly agree with you. The underclassmen on that 2010 team did win back to back NC's and 1 SEC title over the next 2 years. The 2012 draft had 4 1st rounders, 1 2nd, 2 5th rounders and 1 7th, the 2013 draft had 3 1st rounders, 1 2nd, 2 4ths, 2 5ths and 1 7th.

So lets go back to the 2010 team and that is 22 total picks over next 3 drafts, 11 1st rounders.

I think the 2019 team will equal the 2010 team in NFL draft picks when you combine the 2019 team and 2020 NFL draft and 2020 team and 2021 draft. And it will do it over 2 drafts vs. 3. Again, I could be wrong but listening to Mike D and others who evaluate the NFL draft (I still follow the Saints) this Bama team may match LSU's 14 total picks last year, which added to the 9 in last years draft hits 23 total.

You obviously didn't watch the CBS intro to the game. They were giving all the Saban career stats and had on the screen that he has had 471 (?) first round draft choices in his career...and I nearly fell off my couch! Think about that statement for a second and you should realize what my post was trying to be.

Oh well, no I did not watch the Iron bowl at all, nor any other ball game yesterday save the LSU game a bit here and there. So no I would not have gotten the reference the CBS intro. I totally missed the 471 in your post and thought it was just a typo and did not want to point it out and be seemed to be the typo police.
