This is how it works JJ.

-State starts next season unranked.

LOL! Oh that is sad, but I can believe it.

Add to it, "the next year that team that they beat is a NC contender!"

Beat Preseason ranked #6 on the road
That number 6 team finished unranked

And return LESS than MS ST..

Your are proving my point.

- Beat Preseason ranked #20 by double digits-Not sure who you speak of here. Washington was number 20 in preaseason.

Not in the AP:

20
Kentucky

Again.... you prove the point

Lost to LSU

This is hanging around their neck like an albatross.

Several games are in their minds. Bad call admitted to by the SEC (mem)...Ark.. (had the lead with 2 minutes left, lost lead... still marched down for a FG that was 1 of 4 missed in that game), LSU (FG again)

They were 8 points from 10 wins and return 18.

But a State fan in this thread tells me the "Leach-coached teams lose a game they shouldn't" saying is a fable.

I stated that. I am a Bama fan.

Will Rogers should probably be 2nd team ALL SEC this year but he wouldn't start in most of these other systems.

What a load of BS that is.

People want to say "Well it's the system".. BS.. I watch many Ole Miss QBs throw it in the ground. The kid still has to complete those passes.

State's going to have a good team this year. Its a shame its a year we draw Georgia from the East.

I know you will have a top 10 defense!

the problem is the standard for his QB must be higher than what is normally needed.

When your short passes substitute for run plays, you really need an accurate QB to make sure he hits on those designed plays.

So a 74% is not good? LOL!!!

only 2 QBS in all of the SEC HISTORY has passed for more than him. Burrow and Young.

Who did you piss off to get no love this preseason?

Losing to Texas Tech by 21 in your bowl game is not going to help you be ranked the following season, especially if you finished that season 7-6.

Y'all don't have a running game . . . at all. Hell, y'all don't even run.

Man that is a falsehood. Their lead rusher averaged 5.4 per carry and averaged 6.5 per catch out of the back field.

While your Ole Miss back averaged 5.8 rushing and 6.8 in passing.

Total falsehood.

Y'all don't have a pro QB under center.

Are you sure?

Here's a report. I had to look it up and it's perfect because it uses Ole Miss's QB:

quote:

D'Andrea wrote. "The Mississippi State quarterback is built a little like the Ole Miss quarterback Carolina just drafted in the third round (Matt Corral, who is also 6-foot-2ish and 205 pounds) but is way more prolific in college thanks to his place in Mike Leach’s pass-happy offense. A guy who can sling the ball 50-plus times per game and complete more than 72 percent of his passes has value in the NFL."

lands in the top 10 because the Panthers really, really need a QB," D'Andrea added.

quote:

But most importantly, y'all don't have multiple future all-pro players on defense (Chris Jones, JT Gray, Bernardrick McKinney).

This is the most ignorant comment I see.

He's never had to play against as much talent as he has to go up against either so that's kinda a wash.

No.. That's false.

It's so easy for people to just throw out words without thought.

MS ST has NEVER had the level of talent on Offense as they have now. NEVER. Not even Mullen years.

Rogers is not the BEST QB with the highest ceiling in the QB Room.

The level of WRs at Ms ST has never been this high.

I get the throwing of words and bashing and shite talking, but it's 100% false.

But you do you.......

I love when State fans are like we were X amount points away from winning 9 games.

State was 5 points away from winning 5 games

If you really wanna get them going bring up the fact that they're 6 games below .500 since Mullen left.

Not saying your wrong, but be honest, you really don’t know anything about our roster.

They don't. While I don't see you beating us, I can see you winning the rest.

Not a single team that you lost 2 by 3 or less points return NEAR as much as you do.

You added what 3x 4 star WRs that will be on the field!

I couldn’t give two shits about what he did at WSU

ok? Than don't reply when I'm referencing him as a coach and not just his limited time at Miss St.

And it once again wasn't just Washington St

The issue here is that Tx Tech and WSU were WAY behind in talent compared to ALL they played.

I suggest you look at Ms St again.

They are not that far behind MOST in the SEC.

If you want to TALK Leach and say "well historically Leach"... You might want to look at his 3rd year stats!

I think they got the shaft.

I do not think many of the teams ahead of an SEC W team deserve to be ranked.

It's not that hard.
