Let's be honest here. Anybody with the below facts would be ranked. You have to be the most hated or disrespected program in the nation.

- Beat Preseason ranked #6 on the road
- Beat Preseason ranked #13 only allowing them 10 points.
- Beat Preseason ranked #20 by double digits
- Lost by 3 on the road at Ark who is ranked 19.
- Lost to LSU by 3

Yet you return

- 80% of your production
- return 18 starters
- Did really well in the portal...

Who did you piss off to get no love this preseason?

They have a very hard schedule and they're a Mike Leach team. They're going to lose a game or two they absolutely shouldn't. But they'll almost certainly win a game they shouldn't either.

As does everybody else. And they beat #6 on the road and now have them at home. Lost by 3 to #19 on the road and have them at home. ETC ETC..

Everybody has a hard schedule in the SEC.

LOL! That's an old fable that people have latched onto. Leach has never had the amount of talent he has. But you keep clinging to that.

We both see the future. MSU is winning the SEC this year. People will come around eventually.

It does. LSU is a game they should win.

Again.. If Auburn returned 18 starters and that amount of production from last year... YOU would be ranked. We both know that.

Unlike Kentucky basketball, they weren't born on 3rd base. And they also reside in the West.

Has zero to do with it. They beat teams in the west and return 80% of their production. In what world would that equal being worse?

It would be 1 thing to say that the team that lost all of those or was blown out in their losses returning 18 and 80% of their production still might not be better, but that's not the case.

Example:

Ms St vs TAMU.

MS ST returns 80% production TAMU 60% from last years team that lost and now plays on the road.

That's pretty much what the voters are saying. In other words, it doesn't matter.. Ms St is Ms St and everybody will beat them.

Slighted.

What part of me saying, "unlike Kentucky basketball, they weren't born on 3rd base"?

Face it, Miss State has an image problem. You may have to wait for Leach to prove it.

Leach is 3-9 against the west

For reference to other coaches that joined the league the same years in the west

Pittman is 5-7

Kiffin is 5-6

Leach is fine but stop being a homer

When you return a lot of the same bodies from a bad team, that usually means the team will still be bad.

State won't have to wait long to be ranked. I bet they'll be ranked if they win their first two games. If they win their first four, they'll probably be in the top 15. If they win their first five, then they'll probably be in the top ten.

I think I speak for all state fans when I say that this is the way we like. Although if you look at the schedule, we have a very good chance of winning 9-10 games, maybe one more with a bigger upset. To me, no one in the west looks unbeatable this year.

A "very good chance" of winning 9-10 games? Wowza.

Y'all are closer to 7-8 than you are 9-10.

Wonder how BAMA looks to Leach these days? 6 points in 2 years and BAMA is bringing everyone back. Enjoy your trip to Bryant Denny.

This is how it works JJ.

-State starts unranked
-State beats ranked team
-Ranked team drops out of poll, because they lost to State.
-"State didn't really beat anybody."
-State starts next season unranked.

Fixed it for you. Seriously though, i think State was slighted and will have a better year than almost everyone has predicted. They just have a really tough schedule.
