Except one glaring exception....Will Rogers is not in the same universe as Dak Prescott. That 2014 team was a 7-5 team at best without Dak. That 2014 team also had an All-SEC running back and 5 NFL players on defense, something this team doesn't have. I'm seeing two players on the roster this year who made any All-SEC team in 2021 and I'm seeing only 1 who was on the preseason team this year. State has a lot of returning experience, but I'm not sure I can agree that they're overly talented when compared to the conference foes.

Didn’t realize you were so well versed on what the team looks like. The NFL scouts at practice lately have disagreed with everything you’ve said. Give Josh Pate’s chaos team video a listen. It’ll shed some light.

Here you go

You're in the SEC West. It's like you're being intentionally ignorant when comparing the talent level on your team to your competition

Except that you’re being intentionally ignorant and ignoring what I said initially.. I never mentioned other teams. I said we have an experienced, talented roster. You’re the one making assumptions besides that. I just said that was what made 2014 special was experience.

Who are the future NFL players who will see a lot of PT for you this year?

Marks at RB for sure. WR is young and depends who steps up. Same with OL. It’s the defense that’s loaded. Wheat, Forbes, Davis, Crumedy, Watson likely all are on an NFL roster next year. That’s not counting younger guys or unproven transfers

Leach has never had the amount of talent he has

He's never had to play against as much talent as he has to go up against either so that's kinda a wash.

I don’t care. We do better as the underdogs.

LSU will struggle. Auburn sucks. Aggie gonna Aggie. OM takes a step back without Corral. I think we compete with Arkansas for 2nd in the West. We

All completely true. LSU will be "rebuilding", something they have been doing since 2019. Auburn will be a cakewalk, Aggie will Aggie. Om will be solid, wish we had them at home, but their QB play could be a shitshow. I also like our chances at home against the same Arkansas team we should have beaten last year.

When you return a lot of the same bodies from a bad team, that usually means the team will still be bad.

We finished 4th in the West that’s not bad. It’s average. And we were a FG kicker away from winning 9 games

1) Preseason polls are meaningless
B) I’d rather be unranked

Stop with the facts. This bunch doesn’t like those.

They're going to lose a game or two they absolutely shouldn't. But they'll almost certainly win a game they shouldn't either.

I see this line thrown around a lot for Leach teams, but this applies to just about every team outside of Bama every year.

Let's be honest here. Anybody with the below facts would be ranked. You have to be the most hated or disrespected program in the nation.

- Beat Preseason ranked #6 on the road
- Beat Preseason ranked #13 only allowing them 10 points.
- Beat Preseason ranked #20 by double digits
- Lost by 3 on the road at Ark who is ranked 19.
- Lost to LSU by 3

Yet you return

- 80% of your production
- return 18 starters
- Did really well in the portal...

Who did you piss off to get no love this preseason?

Leach might not survive at the end of this year if he doesn't make bowl game this year.

You are right but Leach does it to the extreme at times

Like losing to New Mexico St but than beating a top 10 Cal team in the bowl game or losing to a D2 school but than beating a top 15 Stanford team. I believe there are more examples but there is no just so much variance at times.

Texas A&M lost to Mississippi State, but beat Alabama the next week.

You could just as easily stick that label on Jimbo.

A talented roster is all relative. Talented relative to the teams you’re going to be playing every week, I don’t agree State has all that talented a roster

New Mexico St and a D2 school are on Miss St's level?

Not saying your wrong, but be honest, you really don’t know anything about our roster.
