There was a handful of other egregious calls long before the blunder at the end.

The refs can really suck balls sometimes.

Last year, lost to Memphis but beat aTm

Yep.

Lost to Arkansas because they were 0-3 on field goals and beat Auburn despite being down three scores at halftime.

It’s gonna be the norm, but some State fans won’t accept that.

Honestly, outside of games against truly elite competition, no lead is safe in a Leach coached game, including those where his teams have the lead.

That’s the whole point of the air raid.

Beating Kentucky last year was more unexpected than beating TAMU.

Leach blew the Memphis State game by going for two from the 12 yard line.

Dude lost his mind.

Better coaching State and Memphis go to OT.

Never go for two from the 12 yard line

State was also up 17-7 and picked off Memphis inside their ten yard line to start the second half, only to come away without any pernts. Could've been 20 or 24-7.

To that one State fan's credit on the last page, he admitted it.

It isn't even some overly negative thing either

There have been many times as an Arkansas fan I would have killed to have chances at the bigger upsets

I might take beating Bama if it meant we lost to Petrino and Mizzou St

True enough and we were down 25 to Auburn as well.

IMO, I think we will be a bit more consistent this year across the board. Yes Leach has had some of those WTF games. But I think at State with our defense being steady we will see more consistent play this year and going forward.

What does that mean? I think it will be more rare for us to lose to a bad team in the years ahead. The upside of beating a better team will still be there.

Looking at last year in context. La Tech was the first game. We made a ton of mistakes. It was the first game nightmare game but we managed to pull it out.

Memphis was still early but no excuses there. We gave them an early TD on a fumble. We played ugly. The PR was a blown call but it should not have mattered.
Later in the season we win that game comfortably. For Memphis it was their Super Bowl and we did not play like it mattered. Again no excuses.

I guess my point is that I believe we will perform better this year against Memphis and Arizona and win those games. If we don’t , it will be disappointing.
