Is Ole Miss wins against Arkansas and Kentucky that much worse than LSU who beat Clemson and Florida right now?

I’m a Mizzou fan, but no way we are the 4th best team at this point. Who knows what it will look like at the end of the season, but nobody knows much yet

Like preseason polls, these need to wait until more conference games.

Just not enough info, but we can tell who the bad teams are.

GA should NOT be number 1. That W was luck.

Georgia, Texas A&M, LSU and Mississippi State have wins over Playoff teams from last season.

Where's that SemperFiDawg dude?

Any minute he's gonna mouth off that "OU ain't even in the SEC!!!" and that we need to be shoved off in the Pacific Ocean because we don't eat enough collard greens.

The whole left side could be put in any order, and somehow vandy and Ole miss need to be added to the left side.

Georgia
OU
A&M
Tennessee
LSU
Bama
Ole Miss
Missouri
Vandy
MSU
Auburn
Arkansas
Texas
UK
South Carolina
Florida

This is from the eye test as it’s hard to judge quality of most opponents. Auburn has not impressed me at all I think most SEC defenses will shut them down.

That Georgia vs Oklahoma SEC title game is going to be epic!

I mean, if it happens the last time we played was a pretty epic football game

Eh, I'd argue Gunner Stockton went into the most hostile environment he is going to face all season and when the team needed him to make it happen, he did. Reminds me of a certain QB we had a few years ago. Sometimes kickers miss. I believe we hung a banner after a similar playoff game against Ohio State. That's football. You have to finish games. The Vols had chance after chance to put us away. They pulled out the second half Falcons super bowl playbook instead. Reminds me of a Mark Richt Georgia team honestly.

Having said that, it is a power rating. If you go with the Josh Pate definition which I believe is accurate, who in the SEC would be favored over Georgia on a neutral field. That's all it is.

Their kicker missing an easy kick has nothing to do with gunner. If anything it’s 100% on the d which is extremely surprising and worrying.

And all the Tennessee D had to do was get a stop...or stop a 2 point conversion...or not give up a huge run on the first play from scrimmage in OT. That kicker had never been in that situation, but Heupel coached like he had Adam Vinateri on the sidelines. Gilbert was 4-6 from that range last year. Hardly a sure thing or automatic as you imply. Heupel knew this. He coached not to lose rather than to win. Like I said, Richtesque.

Hats off to the Vols, but if they should have won, they'd have won.

Would love to know the logic behind number 12

i'm just guessing it's because you struggled to beat who he has at 15 and 16

I'm good with the top 8.

Just wouldn't put Missouri that high.

I am a Mizzou fan who has been at all three of their games, and I can tell you that I am not even sure at this point what Mizzou is, so how someone else can rank them 4th or 12th I have no idea. They have looked dominant (they beat up Kansas every where but the scoreboard); however until they play their first couple of SEC games (SC and Bama), I am not sure how any one on this site or any where else can make an accurate judgement concerning them. Could they be an 8-4 team...yes, or could they be a 10-2 or 11-1 play-off team...yes. All I do know is that that they have looked like everyone said a SEC should look like when Mizzou joined the conference. Great D and great running game.
