a jump from 22 to 9 this late in the season is nearly unheard of... I guess that's what you get with a 5-0 record on the road against ACC and SEC opponents...

14 of the top 15 in Warren Nolan RPI are from either the SEC or ACC. Texas Tech is the only one to crash the party @ 10.

I think it's part LSU history and part correction to under-rating... I mean LSU has a top 15 RPI (12th i believe), a chance (slim as it may be) to win the SEC this weekend... And a history of finishing well down the stretch.

The SEC deserves 7 host spots this year. Hell, they deserve 5 national seeds this year. Will probably get 6 host spots and 4 national seeds for the first time. I'd settle for 7 host spots and 4 national seeds. Committee should cut out this 'grow the game' crap because the Big Ten is never going to have big crowds or the kind of interest the Southern teams have in baseball. Try hockey.
