I don't think LSU has looked particularly different this year compared to the last two seasons.
They have a good record right now, but the only difference from last year at this point is that this year they barely beat Ole Miss at home where last year they barely lost to Ole Miss on the road. And their week 1 loss was to a worse team this season.
