They don’t care about CFB…they are more invested in the NFL, so they have an NFL mindset. The SEC lives and Breathes CFB, we know what’s best for the game, it’s our #1. We would do what’s best for the game.

Sankey should have never bent the knee. He sucks

they always had too much power. Journalist and media are primarily from BIG country. The ESPN contract helps to even it out a little. for SEC but when your alma mater isnt SEC and you are given airtime and can vote in the AP poll it skews big time to BIG

Yankees screwed up a lot of early stuff with too much power in the AP/UPI.

7 Wild Card teams have won the Super Bowl but that was with salary caps and other restrictions in place we don't have right now in college.

No lower tier team is going to win the natty now the way things are.

Greg Sankey

Born in Auburn, New York

Went to community college in New York

Got his Masters from Syracuse

Why in the world is he leading the SEC?!

Evidently he was Slive's top man. Slive was a Yankee too.

The blame rests almost entirely with Tony Petitti. That fricking dago from NYC is the one who started aggressively spearheading the concept of a 24 team playoff to other B10 ADs.

The SEC sold out to ESPN years ago and I'm guessing it had little to do with Sankey.

I would like to be able to defend the big ten here but when you have a conference full of states like illinois, california, minnesota, maryland, washington and new jersey its kind of hard. The decision making is going to be bad with these bozos.

SEC leadership absolutely pissed it's power position away.

It's already gone. You can't just fire Sankey and fix this. The B1G is now at an advantage. It has managed to adjust the rules to its advantage and removed the inherent advantages the SEC had. AND, it has managed to have a monetary advantage from a revenue standpoint. It has always had an institutional monetary advantage.

It was pure incompetence.

It's the media. Almost everything wrong with this country can be laid at their feet. The invention of mass media is going to ruin everything, sports included.

Sankey will not be remembered fondly. He’s made some decisions that will forever change the sport. The SEC has slowly lost many of our advantages under his leadership. Mainly because he’s a coward.
