Gumps were on here predicting a 14 point win even with injured Tua.

It only became an excuse after the game.

Despite all of our mistakes and LSU's God-level play in that game, we were still an onside kick away from taking the lead at the end.

Lol wut?

Like when they were looking to the sideline and gave up a long touchdown?

When they grabbed Waddle's facemask and slung him out into the open field?

Or when they were playing bump and run with a minute left and gave up another long touchdown?

Everyone wants to talk about Tua's fumble but it only gave LSU the ball at like their own 8 yard line, they still had to drive the length of the field.

No one remembers that Burrow gave Alabama a fumble with much better field position.

LSU did everything they could to give that game away, if they dont have the GOAT offense, they likely end up losing.

To pretend that LSU played lights out and poor little Bama staggered around and still only lost by 5 points is disingenuous at best. Moral victories I guess.

No one is arguing about that. 2019 bama couldn’t hold LSU’s jock. Next question.

That’s false, Clemson’s whole defensive line was drafted after that Clemson vs Bama title game. LSU played a depleted and young defense in the title game. Big difference there!

Mac Jones’ longest career completed pass was a touchdown for the wrong team.

Weird how these types of excuses only happen after a loss.

You didn't seem too worried about your "young and depleted" defense before the game.

Odd.

You will real soon Tigers from Deaf Valley, Venables and co will slow that high flying offense down and TL and co will walk up and down the field on that pedestrian defense. Let’s bookmark this post and revisit shall we?? Go Tigers

To be fair, It was the high water mark in CFB history.

Stupid Corndog. He had a 94 yarder in 2018 and an 85 yarder in 2019.

Last season he was 97-141 (68.8%) for 1503 yards with 14 TD's and 3 picks. Rating of 186.8

Myles Brennan in garbage time? 24-40 (60%) 353 yards long of 58 1 TD 1 pick rating of 137.4

Brennan is TOTALLY unproven.

You’re calling me stupid when a 100 yard pick six is longer than a 94 yard pass.

Yes I am...that wasn't so much a pick as a look what I found. Basically a fluke. He had his back to the QB and the ball fell in his hands. Auburn gets a lot of those type plays vs Alabama.

What's REALLY stupid is the Brennan Hype. I sure don't see any reason for it. Like the old Wendy's commercials used to say..Where's the beef?

Put up the biggest numbers of any Mississippi high school quarterback ever.

Has a strong arm and quick release, Brett Favre said he had all the physical tools to be great.

LSU's offense is perfectly suited to him and has tons of weapons.

He's finally bulked up to a decent playing weight.

Not saying he'll be great but those are the reasons for the hype.

Mmkay. Les Miles left town a few years ago. LSU is not an auto W for you anymore.

Exactly. LSU left the old offense and we're not going back. Kind of scary for a BAMA team that is used to Les Miles offenses.

Past performance is no indicator of future gain.

Bama fans trying to insert their name into the 2019 LSU best team of all time conversation.

Victims don’t get to write the narrative, boo.

He's got to do it when it means something, which he has not done. There's going to be a drop off, Joe wasn't exactly a world beater in Year One himself.

Tua's injury did have a silver lining, Mac Jones logged some real world time and did pretty well all in all. Should he progress as he hopefully ought to, we should have a solid starter and won't have to throw an untested player or even a true freshman out there.
