Watching your fav team outside of home

how do you act when invited to watch your team at another home? do you flip out and lose your sh*t over big plays, or lay low and try to act normal giving a polite golf clap after big plays so you dont make small children cry?

Am I watching with friends that pull for AU or another team? Need more info on the situation.

as a Bama grad, If I can't make the game.I am watching it with NO one. I will not go to a bar or over someone's house

I cant stand watching it with other folks unless I am in the stadium.
Other peoples commentary pisses me off. I have a hard enough time watching it with my immediate family.

I'm in debate with my wife over this and she thinks it's crazy I dont want to watch the Bama/Mich game at our friend's home. Case in point, they came over last year to cook out and watch a Bama game, and my "enthusiasm" after a big play made their 4 yr old daughter cry. i cant be worrying about this.

this couple is indifferent. they are from a Big 10 basketball school where football is irrelevant.

I act a fool. I've had to make several Sunday afternoon apology phone calls through the years.
Most people find it entertaining thoughbecause I'm pretty quiet and reserved in all other settings.

I do this thing where I put my hands on my hips and scoot around the whole house really quick, while shouting the name of whoever just scored a touchdown.

I won't watch with anyone but my wife or someone I invite over to my place that knows how I am during football season. Friend invited me over to his place for the weekend and I just can't bring myself to do it. Plus, I don't want to have to argue with people about what game to watch, so I'll watch it in my own home where I can control what's on

people usually know what comes with inviting me. i try to usually be the host myself, though, so people basically have to deal with it

Depends on people I am around. But I watch football much differently that I did during the dark ages.

I can remember my bitch ex-gf would get so pissed when I didnt wanna go over to one of her friends houses to "watch the game" when OM was on the road.
No way, frick that noise.

i got chewed out one year because i didn't want to leave at half of GA/FLA to run over to some shitty haloween part at the ex gfs house. i did it and it was an awful mistake because i had to deal with her friends and georgia bending over for the turds

It's even worse then. I watched a Bama game with my wife and her friends who went to Indiana. I have forever since been known as the crazy SEC / Bama fan. Doesn't help that it was the 09' UT game. I went berserk when Cody blocked the kick and I have been forever marked as a lunatic by them since then.
Best for all parties that you stay at home, these folks do not understand the SEC and will openly mock your behavior.

I don't mind watching with others as long as they don't:
- ask any questions about the team
- let their snotty nose kids in the same room
- yell at their kids from the room I'm in
- walk in front of the tv while the game is in progress
- say it's just a game
- ask what the score is
- ask me what's wrong
- occupy the bathroom at the commercial break when I need it
- tell me "hey, we need a fourth for cornhole" during the game.
Other than that, I'm cool with it.
