Of course not, I want Bama fans to care about college baseball bc the sport fun as hell to watch.

I can't watch it - too slow. But I went to Hoover for the first time in my life (I live 1 hr from Hoover) for the SECC and took my nephews. I enjoyed the hell out of being there in person and the little boys loved getting out of school early & going to the games.

I will also point out how funny it is after the deluge of Bama fans stating otherwise earlier in the season. Yall deserve that.

Maybe if y'all would stop making thread after thread about it, there wouldn't have been a "deluge" of Bama fans stating otherwise earlier in the season? IDK, that Bohannon shite hit the fan and I became personally invested in supporting our players this season.

Well, there are two in this thread that say they still don’t care about baseball. There are more than two of them out there. I want to see all the examples of fans that were saying that baseball didn’t matter in March; but now are saying it does matter.

Most Alabama fans just didn’t talk about it at all then. Most still aren’t, but there are more. I will give you that. But again, that is normal and to be expected. But there are a LOT more LSU fans talking about Alabama baseball now.

As a “gotcha” thread, this one is 0/10.

You said exactly how I feel. Watching baseball is like watching paint dry. But, like you, I am proud of how the team has played since the firing of the HC.

Bohannan laid down a huge over/under on fan support for Alabama?

I think the more funny observation is watching LSU fans slowly begin to care about Alabama baseball.

Kid, I was watching Alabama baseball when Dave Magadan & Co went to the CWS finals in 1983. You probably weren’t even born.

My favorite part is when Alabama fans like TouchdownTony and captdalton try to use the excuse of Alabama not having a lottery if someone makes fun of their team.

It probably helped that they fired the head coach who was literally throwing games to make money gambling

Nothing. I dislike baseball as much now as ever. Haven't watched a single pitch. Don't know name of a single player or coach.

Improved facilities helped, but primarily it was the result of more success. It is universal in sports; winning attracts new fans and more interest from existing lukewarm fans. Sad you couldn’t figure that out on your own and had to ask.

If Alabama wins the national title or plays in the finals, there will be sudden interest. If not, then it’s no big deal. Because they have football and basketball they are good at more consistently.

I say this because of what Oklahoma did last year. There’s always more interest in football, basketball, softball, gymnastics. Baseball is just there. There was way more interest when Oklahoma made the CWS and actually made it to the finals. It’s a rarity for OU baseball to do what they did so let’s hype it up as much as we can for the moment.

First year on ESPN. Launched me into college baseball and haven't let up. Probably watch 100 games (part of) most years.

Improved facilities recently has driven more fans to the games. There are few idiots on here that say “ nobody cares about college baseball blah blah” and screw them.

Also the head coach caught gambling on his own team to lose and get fired gave those boys some fire. There has always been good talent but Bohannon had several “WTF” moments and cost the game.
