Watching Alabama fans slowly begin to care about baseball is funny.

The baseball team is good? Is that what you’re looking for? Been going to Bama baseball games since the 80’s

Improved facilities helped, but primarily it was the result of more success. It is universal in sports; winning attracts new fans and more interest from existing lukewarm fans. Sad you couldn’t figure that out on your own and had to ask.

You probably know this, but he is referring to the general Bama "nobody cares about college baseball" message gumps were spouting here just a couple of months ago.

I for one just enjoy the fact that it rustles peoples jimmies so much when Bama has success in any sport.

Good.

For a second there I was beginning to think "nobody cares about college baseball".

Of course he does. They're not quite sure how to undo all of that so they'll pretend it didn't happen for now.

This is exactly why i opened this thread at all. chalk me up to not caring about anything but football, but then i've not been a sports-guy my whole life. just bama football.

i do enjoy the rage from other fans.

There were a couple of Alabama fans that said baseball didn’t matter. Alabama or otherwise. I am pretty sure those couple of posters are still saying it.

One reason that there is more talk about Alabama baseball is that other fans are starting threads about it. I submit this thread as Exhibit A.

When they were doormats, everyone just ignored them. Add to that who knows how many threads about the gambling saga and Bohannon firing, most by non-Alabama fans, and there has been more talk about Alabama baseball this year.

No. There were many. There were a could that said that they liked it. SOG was one that I remember. Congrats to m2pro and SOG for being consistent at least.

I am NOT a baseball fan in any shape or form, never have been.

BUT what changed my interest in baseball this season is that fact that our scum of the earth HC - Bohannon was caught not only betting against his own players but making in-game decisions to ensure his team lost is now gone. I want to see what these kids can do without their HC doing his level best to make sure they lose.

That is the only reason I've followed Bama Baseball this season.

Is there something wrong with wanting to follow and support a team of players who's HC shite on damn near all season?

Of course not, I want Bama fans to care about college baseball bc the sport fun as hell to watch.

I will also point out how amusing it is after the deluge of Bama fans stating otherwise earlier in the season. Yall deserve that.
