Probably so.

The 2004 LSU staff was pretty good under Saban as well:

Smart, Muschamp, Fisher, Bo Davis, Cochran

But not as deep as that Bama group.

That is 7 current or former FBS Head Coaches. I can't think of any other coaching staff that could come close to that.

ETA...I was not including Nick Saban in the 7 Head Coaches...every coaching staff has a Head Coach, and I was focused on the staff below the HC that he brought it. Since others seem to be counting the HC for the staff as well...including Nick it would be 8.

FBS HCs
1). HC Nick Saban - current GOAT
2). OC Lane Kiffin - current LSU Head Coach
3). DC Kirby Smart - current Georgia Head Coach
4). OL Mario Cristobal - current Miami Head Coach
5). WR’s | Billy Napier - former Florida Head Coach
6). DB’s Mel Tucker - former Michigan State Head Coach
7). OLB’s Tosh Lupoi - current Cal Head Coach
8). GA Dan Lanning - current Oregon Head Coach

Now, get this...not only have they been FBS Head Coaches...they were all Head Coaches for Power 4 Teams

FCS HC
DPP Jody Wright - current Murray State Head Coach

With a 2-22 record at Murray State...I don't see Jody Wright making the jump to FBS anytime soon...but, should he turn things around and get picked up by a G5 school, that would make 9.

By far the greatest. Unbelievable staff that year. Saban’s coaching tree is the GOAT.

I'll try to see what i can do here but don't think it is going to compete

Urban Meyer in 2018 had:

Day - OSU Coach
Kevin Wilson - Former Indiana HC and former Tulsa Coach
Greg Schiano - Rutgers HC
Brian Hartline - USF HC

In 2019 they replaced Schiano with Jeff Hafley who is likely get a HC job in the NFL

But that is an incredible list not just that they are HCs but they are at high level programs

HOLY Batman, that is one amazing coaching staff...WTF kind of good.

SABAN at his favorite school in 2003, had one amazing staff too.

Head Coach Nick Saban
Offensive Coordinator Jimbo Fisher
Defensive Coordinator Will Muschamp

THE GOAT: RB Coach Derek Dooley

And they beat UGA so throughly that year that it finally convinced us to fire Richt and hire Kirby after 15 years.

I’ve always said 2015 bama was best staff ever assembled. 04 or 05 Pete Carroll had a nice one. Lane sark ed o norm chow.

Meyer had good ones too. Utah staff had Whittingham and Dan mullens

It could also be the Frank Cignetti coaching tree as Frank was the one that brought Nick to his first job coaching DBs in the big time.
