My urologist , last name Nesmith, his great grandfather invented basketball, nailed the peach basket to the backboard.
Naismith invented basketball. Nesmith was a guitar player for the Monkees....
Most of the areas that Baton Rouge grabbed were retail. It will be interesting if the new St. George group will try to give the Mall, casino, and Seigen Place sweetheart deals to keep them in the city.
The mall, casino and seigen marketplace are nice and all but St. George is now h...
Did realize we were pretty bad for a good chunk of the 70's.
LSU during their longest streak: 1974: 5-5-1 1975: 5-6 1976: 7-3-1 1977: 8-4 1978: 8-4 1979: 7-5 1980: 7-4 1981: 3-7-1 LSU wasn’t terrible in the 70s, just not good enough to be top 20. 89-94 had some absolu...
Beat out Alabama for him. Had he gone to Alabama the board would be complaining about how we can’t get transfers like him. We land him and its we’ll see, he might be another Justice Hill. This is a very big pickup. It was very very important that we get a solid PG to add to our current r...
If neither team is out there for the national anthem, no big deal. If one team is out there standing respectfully during the national anthem and the other team is in the locker room, then it is a very bad look and pathetic....
Since 2018 Bob Huggins has as many DUIs as 20 win seasons....
One thing Wade had was an eye for NBA talent.
Duop was here before Wade was here....
Teams turning down invites to the NIT is just silly. It’s basically the Music City Bowl/Texas Bowl/Liberty Bowl of college basketball. You never hear of football teams turning down leaser bowl games. 68 out of 362 Div. 1 teams make the NCAA tournament. 82 out of 134 FBS teams go to bowl game...
Johnny Jones lost the team and the fanbase once Ben Simmons’ team didn’t make the NCAA tournament. He was a dead man walking his last year here and the team was terrible. The talent was still there though. Acting like Wade took over a program in shambles is just wrong. It was more of a team an...
LSU’s NET strength of schedule is 52. RPI strength of schedule is 41....
he got the program up to a top 15-20 program nationally
We finished the season ranked 1 time in 5 years. That was 2018-19. ...
It is interesting how the crowd totally turned on Dale and LSU after this. “Throw Dale out! Throw Dale out!”
Most of the fans there were Kentucky fans and Kentucky/LSU was a heated rivalry in the late 70s to early 90s.. LSU had won 5 of the last 7 vs. Kentucky including a blow...
Kentucky fans were begging the officials to throw Shaq out for fighting so he’d be suspended for the next game. They got their wish and barely beat a Shaqless LSU the next day. Shaq was getting beat up every game towards the end of that season and officials weren’t calling fouls. A no call on S...
beating Kentucky was a good win...even if they aren't as dominant as they have been in the past
This is the best Kentucky team since 2020. Plus they’ve won 7 out of their last 8 (only loss was at LSU) with wins at Auburn and at Tennessee and a blowout at home vs Bama. It was ...
The current PMAC is actually closer to the levee than the LSU golf course is to the levee....
How hard is it to build something like this at the site of the golf course? With the proximity to the river and all the stuff we hear about with the sand boils and unstable soil, would this be a difficult undertaking given that some of the footprint would need to be underground/below grade? I...
They are going to make this a huge flop, aren't they?
For maybe the first time ever LSU seems to have their shite straight on this one. The fact that an outside group will be putting up the funds for construction and will be managing non-LSU events gives that group plenty incen...
Do we claim them since they played for Wade? I mean I thought we were erasing all games and players for that period…
Duop Reath was 1 of 3 future NBA players that Will Wade inherited from Johnny Jones. ...
Y’all do realize that the women’s team has a practice gym right across the hall from the men’s practice gym, don’t you? Neither team practices everyday on the main court of the PMAC. No coaches hold their practices every day in arenas like LSU is talking about building....
