No, sir, I think the winner, or loser, of that award would be Heath Shuler. He flat out stank. Sucked. Sucked for two franchises.

He bragged about being the back up QB. He called themselves the Dream Teams.

Heath Shuler’s career stats— 3691 yds and 15 TDs. Looks like OP’s thread backfired.

Didn’t Trent Richardson cost multiple teams, their first round picks?

Actually Lane didn't want JaMarcus. Al Davis made him take JR at #1.

yep, Al Davis made it a point in the letter he read to the public regarding him firing Kiffin. He said Kiffin was wrong about not wanting to draft JR.

Tim Couch - 1st overall

Got the Browns into the playoffs something no one else has done since 2002. Career ended with injury because the Browns had a shitty offensive line.

Also how can you leave Football Johny off of there?

Vince Young is 30-17 as a starter.

Nowhere near the Hall of Fame obviously, but a lot of guys have stunk worse than him.

Just went with top 5 picks. If we are going all the way to where Manziel was drafted the draft bust list would be huge.

Rex Grossman, Paxton Lynch, Brady Quinn, Kyle Boller, EJ Manuel, all picked in that range. QB busts in the 10 to 25 range are a dime a dozen

Although I did forget to add Joey Harrington

Russell is the worst #1 overall pick in NFL history. Shuler and Jhonny Football were drafted 3 and twenty something overall. They can't be bigger busts. Leaf was 2. Akili Smith was 3.

The letdown who was chosen over literally everyone else is always going to be the biggest bust.

I don’t think Couch was a bust. Jamarcus Russell was a huge bust. Like Charles Rodgers, Ryan Leaf, Tony Mandarich.

Nope, that goes to Johnny Manziel

I’m not sure. I think many people thought Johnny’s football would not translate to the NFL and would flame out quickly. He was a serious reach during the draft.

Jamarcus on the other hand had ALL the physical attributes to be a star. As big a fan I was if him at LSU, he was the bigger bust in the NFL. No reason he should not have been successful

Odd troll.

Jamarcus swaggered into Knoxville in 2006 and ripped your hearts out.

Leaf was thought of as can't miss and would have been drafted ahead of Manning by a few teams so I put him ahead. Russell falls no lower than 2 on NFL all time draft busts.

Russell was the first overall pick, Leaf wasnt. They both played in three season but Russell played more games. Russell had the better stats but got worse as his career went along, Leaf actually got better. IDK. Nod to Russell because he was the first pick
