LSU claims a national championship for the 1934–35 season, but not on the basis of any determination by an external selector or outcome of any contest purporting to determine a national champion.[7]

Correct. Indoor Tennis and Equestrian aren't technically recognized.

Are we going to act like anybody really cares about who the 1935 national champion was?

I don't care if we claim it or not. I totally forgot about that until I looked it up today.

Ohhh now I understand. You just join in these threads because Arkansas basketball had one good season and you need the attention.

also - Will wade has a winning record vs. Musselmen.

Nah Golfer is just obsessed with LSU basketball for some reason. Pretty weird.

I mean you can't turn around and make fun of any of Bama's title claims. Y'all actually do have a banner hanging up in your arena.

Or make fun of Ole Miss and their 2003 SEC West banner.

1960 football (controversial because it ruins a lot of people's talking points)

It's only controversial in Oxford, everyone else in the country knows Minnesota won the national championship in 1960.

Tell that to the NCAA

Even though Minnesota finished #1 in both the AP and Coaches in 60?
NCAA website lists Ole Miss and Minnesota as national champions in 1960. Just like they list LSU and USC in 2003.

It counts. Only small minded people don't like it because it hurts their egos

You don’t have a basketball NC. It’s published nowhere and nobody outside of LSU fans give you a basketball NC. I’ve even seen it brought up in the past when Brady was the coach and y’all were in the final four that you would be going for your first basketball NC The delusion is strong with LSUs basketball claim

He didn’t even include LSU’s 1908 football natty which is in the NCAA record books

(I know they don’t recognize an actual championship tho)

Do you have a link to this site? I'm genuinely curious.

Thought it was 1959.

Is that why it's controversial?
