Why? He is the backup in 23 and starter in 24-25. Why would he transfer again?

You're assuming dart goes pro after this season? Dude would have to have a monumental jump to do that

Meh, a lot of writers expect Nuss to transfer if he doesn't win the job in the spring, maybe you personally don't but it is widely expected that he will leave.

If he does, this move will look pretty foolish and will also leave LSU very shorthanded.

However, you have to think Howard knows Nuss isn't planning on leaving if he hit the portal himself.

maybe beat writers without a fricking clue. the guys around the program dont.

and Howard was told he wasnt thats why he left

and why would nuss leave to go sit the bench somewhere else because the chances of going somewhere half decent and winning the job right away are very slim. so transfer to a lesser school just to sit a year?

I mean that was the case at LSU as well, providing Nuss transfers as expected.

Nuss isnt going anywhere, why would you expect that at all? He's the bonafide starter in 2024 and will probably make a serious run at things this season.

Then Howard wins the job. It is that simple.

Howard was nowhere close to Nuss/Daniels this year. He's not beating out Dart in the spring on top of learning a whole new system too.

We're talking about the expectations of two different groups of people.

You're talking about LSU fan expectations, I'm talking about the expectations on a national level.

Hahahahahaha. The sour grapes in this thread are delicious. Do you not realize that Jayden Daniels is a transfer too? Sure would be nice to have good backups for a qb who runs so much, but the boy looks indestructible. A 6'3" 185 pound mountain of a man/boy.

He was a True freshmen working with the scout team. Was he expected too?

He doesn't have to win the job in the spring. He will be the backup and if Dart isn't good enough to go pro after 23 then I expect Howard to overtake him.

He didn't want to spend all year on scout team again.

I have no problem with him transferring. I just wish he had gone out of conference.

Oh well. He's tiger bait now.

Ever heard of Anthony Richardson? Some think he is an early first rounder. Dart looks a lot better than him. LSU is such a trash fan base.

so those informed vs those just guessing.

exactly what i said. why would you listen to a national writer on whats expected at the LSU qb position over the writers and reporters like Shea, Sonny, Jimmy, Billy etc
who's whole job is to report exclusively on LSU and are around it all day everyday?

None of them expected Howard to transfer either.

Kids do that all the time.

They're 18-21 year old kids, there isn't a lot of logic used most of the time.
