He also coached Jonathan Cromptom at UT who was a 5 star out of high school. Howard may end up being great but it’s laughable to say he’s the best raw talent Kiffin has ever coached. He’s a 5’11” white kid with average athleticism and doesn’t have an arm that jumps off the page. For instance, Anthony Richardson (who sucks) has elite raw talent you see immediately
I was one of those laughing at LSU fans last season anointing Howard as the next Burrow. It was ridiculous then and still is now. I think people just wanted that to be true because he was a blue chip and a school legacy.

Ok? So did Anthony “freak” Johnson. So have a lot of other 8th graders.
As of now, seeing both throw, Nuss has more natural arm talent than Howard, which is what the coaches think too and why Howard is leaving. The rest of Howard’s tools are TBD. He’s 18 and has taken a handful of college snaps, you have no idea how good he is

And Kiffin could also sign another kid out of the portal next year better than Howard. He could sign a 5 star out of high school. Dart could stay on through 2024. Time will tell. Several months ago, Howard was apparently going to play here 4 years and he the next Burrow. Now he’s transferring because he’s still 3rd string.
Just think about all the QBs here who were supposed to be awesome but never were here or anyone else? There are multiple QBs like Howard in every recruiting cycle. Most don’t end up stars, which is why you try to sign kids like him every year.

I believe the opposite. Just like Nuss he will now get all the second team QB reps, which he wasm't getting on the LSU scout team. KIffin will play him in a few blowouts, to protect the QB position.

IDk, Dart sucks. If Howard is as good as advertised he should compete for the starting job.

Dart certainly has raw talent. He has an NFL arm and has way more athleticism than Howard. I also will say Dart is a tough SOB. Dude took beatings in games and kept coming back.
I think Dart honestly takes a big leap forward after a full year with Kiffin, just like Corral did

This is definitely true. Some of the hits were his fault though. Especially towards the end of the year, if there was even a whiff of pressure, he would tuck it and try to run.
