When Bama has a schedule that doesn't include Georgia State and Chattanooga on it, then we might start believing Saban wants to "make the conference better"

I'm sure everyone is looking forward to the FAU and Western Carolina games next year as well

Now THIS is rich. Y'all played 2 FCS teams last year.

not denying that. You've also scheduled a school for the deaf, dumb and blind every year too.

2008 - Tulane, WKU, Ark St
2009 - FIU, NTSU, Chattanooga
2010 - SJSU, Duke, Georgia State
2011 - Kent St, NTSU, Georgia Southern
2012 - WKU, FAU, Western Carolina
2013 - CSU, Georgia St, Chattanooga
2014 - FAU, Western Carolina, TBD

I get the rationale for 9-games. And I'd like to see all the SEC schools improve their OOC slate. But if Saban really thinks it's important to improve the schedule, he can start with the crappy end of his own. Otherwise my opinion is he's just talking out his arse for political purposes.

Gotta have everyone do it at the same time. You know.. make it equitable for all.

Vote to keep 8 game schedule was 13-1

FIFE

Interesting.

Looks like Saban was all alone in wanting to make his schedule easier.

Why don't the SkoalJuiceChins just fricking move to the east so they can play everyone from the east (except UGA, UF and USC of course, unless one or more of them start to suck, then they can hurriedly be placed on Shama's schedule.)

why? Isn't the point that we need to do it for SOS? If so, it's not about equity. It's about "bettering the conference." There's an easy way to show you actually believe your own argument.

Kicking out Mizzou and MSU would be more beneficial

I don't think anyone would consider asking Alabama to give up that rivalry with State.

After all, it goes back farther than Tennessee even. There's no way they'd go for that.

So everyone is just trying to deflect by talking about OOC games. We already play one top tier opponent per year, which is more than most of y'all (except LSU and the teams with permanent OOC rivals) do. Why would we drop the easier OOC games when no one else is doing it? That's part of why Saban wants the 9 game slate. It's uniformity for all schools. He's publicly stated that he wants 9 SEC games, one premier OOC game, and 2 games against other teams in the big 5 conferences. But he can't make that happen by himself. He's already taken care of the one premier OOC game, he's pushing hard for the 9 games, but the other OOC games being only against the big 5 conferences will take a big national movement to accomplish. In the interim, why would we kill ourselves if no one else is willing to?

Bottom line is all of your coaches are cowards and you just want to deflect.

Maybe Saban gets mad and Bamer/Saban leave the conference? Win-win for everyone.

Saban will have to find another excuse for always losing one game a year. The Bamers are demanding that "perfect season" and Saban thinks if he has 9 conference games he always has an excuse to drop one
