Quote from Kirk Herstreit on gameday this morning. I don't think were back, but everyone outside of SEC land has seen what CLK is doing and they are starting to believe its going to work in a big way. He also said get your shots in while you can, because the next few years are going to be wild in the SEC.

Tennessee has done nothing to suggest they are back or will be anytime soon under Kiffin. Pretty laughable for Kirk to say that. Tennessee is 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the SEC.

Tenn will be a force sooner rather than later. Just need a QB. If they play with the same intensity after a few more recruiting classes full of 5* players, look out!

Can we make a deal where Tenn fans shut the hell up about "being back" until you're above .500?

If 3-4 = "back" for Tenn, then your program is not as esteemed than most around the country thought it was.

You and your moral victories and moral commentary. Geez!

Lane Kiffin has single handedly turned us from the worst offense in the nation to a mediocre one, with less talent than we had last year. He has molded Crompton into a serviceable quarterback, and has yet to be blown out this year. Unlike the past 4 years under Fulmer where we had to watch our rivals march all over the field on us. Anyone with half a mind can see the Vols are playing way above their heads this year. He has instilled discipline into the UT squad something we haven't been able to say since Johnny Majors was calling the shots.

Neither has there been a Tenn fan on this entire board to contribute anything other than comedy regarding football since Fulmer was fired.

single handedly

This is the BS I'm talking about.

Kiffin has about 3 assistants more qualified to be HC than he is, yet, he has "single-handedly" turned the program.

Wow!

He calls every play on offense, is the head quarterbacks coach. And it's entirely his playbook. I say he gets to take credit for the improvement. Notice the operative word "offense."

If you just look at numbers, then we have no chance next weekend. It's a feel you get from watching them. They play with great intensity. LSU's offense looked really good in the Auburn game. That, combined with Bama stinking it up on offense makes people believe we can beat Bama next weekend.

I believe Kirk also claimed Miami as being "back," and a few games into the season he said Auburn would be a darkhorse in the SEC West. So, feel free to take this as a compliment, but I wouldn't pat myself on the back just yet.
