They went broke ditching BK.
They went broker when they threw themselves at Lane, like a desperate coonass coed.
They keep on spending in order to keep up with their Kardashian, but it's not "their money", as if the mofos dishing out the dough have an endless supply of cash that they don't mind seeing go up in flames.
Coonasses are like children in this way. Trust me, chicken finger dude ain't gonna keep throwing cash at a dysfunctional mess. Y'all better hope for a fast start.

They've been trying this broke thing since Orgeron got is buy out a long arse time ago. Every time they try this, it ends up the same way...
And if a school like ours is so broke, what does that say about the other schools that can't win titles while we do??

When you take the Guilbeau click bait out, Verge is basically saying you have to make sure football is good because it pays all the bills.
BK's buyout was a sunk cost so we're going all in on football to ensure the hole doesn't get deeper. In the extreme short term, it's working. Lane will have to put a winner on the field to keep momentum rolling.

I don't think anyone is going to be fine. The current financial model of college athletics is simply unsustainable at the current level. There will be donor fatigue. Hell, there already is. And the way that schools are going to keep the gravy train rolling is going to be via private equity firms that will basically erode away the sport, huge chunks at a time.

Yes because the real culprit is revenue share, everyone is losing $20 million in revenue. And it’s going to be every single year
Athletic programs tend to use most of their revenue on a yearly basis minus a few million or so which means schools will now have to find $20 million in additional revenue or spend $20 million less and lose the arms race
This is why you are going to start seeing things like ads on Jersey
