I suppose you could have a few extra spots as well, but you really only have room for 4 or so max I'm guessing. Or maybe just the 1 if you don't have extra spots.

In his example he is a 40 year old man asking potential child brides out there to commit to him.

He knows what’s out there. He doesn’t want to compete. He doesn’t want the players to do what’s best for them.

Venables has about as much of a mega church pastor vibe of any coach in today.

He doesn't tell kids they can't take visits if they commit. He tells them not to commit until they've taken all their visits. You see the difference right?

Seems to be working pretty great for him, and he's going to close very strong in his first season recruiting here.

Quite the opposite. He is telling recruits to go visit other schools “before” they commit. Then if they still want OU its with conviction knowing whats out there. This method means he’ll have later classes than others. And so far its working, look how far they jumped in just July with 9 commits alone this month.

In your thinking a coach would not want kids to visit and would want them to commit right now. BV is telling them to go visit first. He’s looking for quality kids and giving them every chance to go sew their oats first.

Let em sleep on us. BV will have this team ready for sec before we join. Give him 2-3 classes.

Meh.....they think we're the playoff team they're used to. That's all they really know. I get it.

The entire premise of this thread from the OP wasn't accurate from the very beginning, anymore than any of their responding comments were.

Venables is cleaning up.... its working.. we have 6 or 7 top 100 recruits and hes only been the coach for 7 months lol. OU fans are loving his recruiting style we wont be losing recruits alot like OU has done in the past .... look at usc...
