This year marks the 10th year anniversary of the I am a man rant.

Gundy had just beaten Texas Tech and he took the entire post game press conference to respond to OKC writer Jenni Carlson and her article that defamed a QB.

In September this year she even wrote an article that was kind of a mea cupa, now that she is a mother.

Here is the entire press conference. I wonder how Finebaum would react to this: LINK

I mean, I think he’s a really good coach and would be a great hire. I just think 8.4 mil/year for Gundy is absurd.

That’s ridiculous. What has he done to deserve that kind of pay? Les Miles is laughing at you.

Can you just imagine when he comes? All of the guys in the stands will want their hair to be just like his.

3 of them will have to get a haircut.

Gundy will stand by and wait for Texas A&M to decide. He is our 3rd choice right now behind Jimbo and Gary Patterson

Supposedly Fulmer is handling this personally with Mike Gundy. I wonder if Currie is out?

Les Miles would do the job for half that amount and get similar results. This is a desperation hire.

Would explain why they're reporting that Peyton is making a personal pitch. Fulmer needs to be our AD after all this.

100%

- They've finished ranked in the AP poll 13 times in the history of the program. 6 of those are in the last 10 years under Gundy.

- They've won 75% of their games in a season 10 times since 1950. 6 of those are under Gundy.

- He's won 9 or more games 8 of the last 10 years

And he's done all of this with Stoops at Oklahoma. Dude would be a big time upgrade for Tennessee. I don't know what his "ceiling" is, but his floor is super high.

Before Schiano got to Rutgers, they had one bowl appearance in their history. He took them to six (winning 5).

In their entire history (dating back to the first ever college football game ever played) they had 22 NFL draftees. Under Schiano they had 17.

He led a perennial Big East cellar swelled to the #2 in the country and won 56 games in his last seven seasons there, after taking over a program that was winless in the conference the year before his arrival.

ETA:
$4.5 mill for Schiano is a better hire than $8.5 for Gundy

Who do the vols use as their bank? I need to know if i'm banking at the same place... worried they might be overextended and run into cashflow problems with all these deposits leaving.

Here's just one of our Boosters:

Charles Ergen 15 billion USD

He's worth even more than that but we'll go with the estimate.
