A mullet in Knoxville would allow Gundy to blend in.

An UT continues with throwing out names like this. This is not going to help them at all when they name Tee Martin the coach. They are setting their fans up for another in a long line of coaching search fails.

Damnit Vols, your coaching searches are epic. Thank you!

That better be a base of 4.5 with a bunch of incentives (nearly impossible to reach) that could bump it up to 8.4.

8.4 million? My Lord in Heaven man. That amount will make Gundy the 3rd highest paid coach right?
1) Saban - 11 mil
2) Harbaugh - 9 mil
3) Gundy - 8.4 mil

I'm asking here cause I'm not certain?

It would be one of the biggest search turnarounds ever. From dumpster fire of epic proportions, to the best hire of the entire coach search IMHO.

If this is how the search ends then Tennessee will have to feel pretty good. Gundy is a very good college football coach.

His Oklahoma State mentor energy billionaire Boone Pickens could match the 8 million but would he?

I think not.

If the Vols are offering 8 million, Gundy better take it.
