That was literally the point he was making.

You guys should be used to this. Or maybe not, I don't know. But it's a common fact amongst the smaller schools that officiating and selections both are biased to larger TV markets within the SEC and the nation at large.

I go back to the Big 12... there were years when Baylor and TCU were great. At least one season you basically could have flipped a coin as to which one was better. Neither made the 4 team playoff.

Any time Oklahoma won the Big 12, they were in.

That bias is what Vandy is facing. People don't yet take them seriously.

Poor Georgia fans are just ticked we took your quarterback.

According to the Rivals board, Vandy put together a 1.7 million dollar package for an unproven and undeveloped QB from a rather small Christian school program.

The kid's agent must be laughing all the way to the bank.

I'm not upset that we didn't match that ridiculous amount. Kirby has stated over and over that he isn't interested in kids who are only chasing a check.

I mean if I’m being honest I think vandy is better than Oklahoma

Vandy would stomp OU. It’s some real voodoo shite that OU is 8 and ranked so far ahead of Vandy or Texas.

Ran the gauntlet?

Your schedule was pathetic.

You barely beat Auburn who had an interim coach.

Enjoy the “10 wins” trophy.

You do not belong in the playoffs.

Which means that a 10-2 record likely finishes better than 7th in the standings..

I’m starting to understand why lottery tickets are so popular in Georgia.. thank you.

Vanderbilt is getting boatraced by the top 4 teams in the bracket if they got in.

I think it's just lacking that signature win or two that teams like a Texas and a Miami, Utah, teams above them have.
Can't believe he actually said it. Just like Miami and ND. Oh wait...

Thanks to the refs in the A&M-ND game. If they called A&M for a hold on the last play they would've lost and had no "signature" wins and Vandy would be the 5th SEC team in the CFP. I think Vandy would beat A&M if they played tomorrow.

So you are all for diminishing the plight of SEC programs when compared to 10-2 teams from cupcake conferences.

The committee has made it pretty obvious that a 10-2 record from a cupcake conference is equivalent to a 10-2 SEC outcome.

Sark is already groveling over the outcome of an 8 game schedule and you want to advocate for even more disparity.

Very true. Stanford's endowment is $40.8B and Vandy is $10.2B. LSU is $644 million in comparison.

I'm an alum. Neither Vandy nor Stanford have a recent football past to brag about but the Harbough/early Shaw years at Stanford were better than anything in our lifetime.

I'm just saying the dry spells have been and are going to be longer for Vandy. Although i will admit that Stanford more likely than Vandy just to blow it all up and get out of football.

You're right. You shoulda got Sankey to hold out for 16 teams when it was set at 12

Y’all had the oldest and most mature team in the conference, 26 players graduating plus another 50 upperclassmen. If you think spending a shite ton on an unproven quarterback is going to pan out then by all means

We ran the gauntlet and finished with 10 wins and 2 competitive losses on the road. But somehow the committee puts Texas over us, and just 2 years ago Sankey insisted Florida State get bumped in favor of Alabama. Where is he now? Has a back door committee decided 5 SEC teams in the playoffs is enough? Oh joy! Tulane, BYU or maybe JMU get in but we stay home.

I'd be more worried about your recruiting on the cusp of your greatest season ever

This is why Sankey should be fired for ever signing a contract that had auto-bids(and even the conf champ byes we had last year..crazy). It's his job to foresee these things (everyone else did...Including the other conference commissioners..)

Only going to get worse with the 9 games...

Only thing we can do at this point is take one out of the B10s book and add a couple very bad teams

We'll play each other less and it'll boost everyone with an extra win.. Then they'll actually value our tough games... give the top tier programs a high 20s ranked win boost

Look at Iowa.. the B10 has enough bad teams so they can grab their 8 wins (along with soft non-cons) lose to everyone half decent.. and stat pad all their conference opponents SOR metric....

Boy, do I got news for you,

Ever checked the list of schools with the wealthiest alumni in America? The world?

Not many SEC schools up in there. Stanford is at or near the top of pretty much every single one of them.
