Look at a map how much closer central Florida is to Orange TX than it is to Chattanooga TN

Central Florida to Knoxville

Or central Florida to Austin

Why don’t you go to a Bama board and refer to UA as UAT? See what happens. I give credit to Tennessee…they’re not as insecure as the denizens of UAT are. Sad thing is, most of the insecurity comes from the T-shirt “alumni”. My oldest niece graduated from UAT, the youngest graduated from UAB. They call each other UAT and UAB. Good thing the middle one didn’t go to UAH!

Please, no more posts on this topic. I suggested a compromise on an earlier message: UTK = Tennessee and UTA or UTX for Texas. It does not appear that either side is interested in a solution. So, confusion wins. I will say that the "give and take stance" is not popular because Texas posters are very arrogant. It's their way or the highway. They are the interlopers.

Lets see

It’s 177 miles from Lakeland to I-10 (which goes west to Austin) so if you want to subtract that from the distance to Austin, do that and we can see which is closer in distance as the crow flies

I've always just said "Tennesee" and "Texas". Never thought to call them UT.

If Texas comes up first on your Google search, it means that the Al-Gore-Rhythm from your search history is probably influencing it.

I search 'UT" in different browsers and search engines.

All come back with University of Texas.

Obviously we shouldn't use UT for either especially now that Texass is in the SEC. Most of us use Bama or Ark for those two UA's.

There is ZERO loyalty to the founding SEC members by other founding members of the SEC. We all wonder why players of today have no loyalty to a school and the answer is because of us.

... the rest of the world thinks Texas.

As much as it serves some UT (Knoxville) fans right to have to deal with this karma kickback, given how they've referred to us as USCjr over the decades .... I'm still referring to Tennessee as UT and Texas as UTa.

It's just the right thing to do ... the male thing to do. The thing lacking pettiness.
