Off-season topic I know.

Tech yes. I would have to say no to The U though.

At least Miami and VT are more in the southeast than choklahoma and the liberals from Austin

Kind of the point. There are pros/cons to both. It’d be easy if I just said UNC and VA Tech.

Va Tech, Clemson, NC State, FSU would be the best fits jumping from the ACC to the SEC.

I asked this in another thread, but why do so many of you prefer NCState to UNC? I don’t get it. Top to bottom, UNC is a far more attractive target. Makes me think most of you have never been to NC State’s ugly, depressing campus.

It really doesn't make sense to prefer NCSU to UNC. Some here just don't like UNC's country club reputation. The NCSU campus isn't that bad btw, Hillsborough Street has improved immensely in the last 20 years. Not to mention Centennial Campus, which is amazing.

Some people just want to bitch. Expansion was happening, one way or another, and the SEC landed the crown jewels while still remaining culturally Southern and geographically contiguous.

Have you visited Austin…wouldn’t call it culturally southern. However I get your point.

Probably because it's the land grant school in NC. And so many current SEC programs are land grant/ag oriented institutions (UF, UGA, Auburn, MSU, A&M, LSU, Tenn, Ark, and UK off the top of my head). NCSU seems like the more natural culteral fit in that particular regard.

Perhaps OP is right.

UNC is clearly better in every way however.

Grammar policed by a fricking Okie. If anyone needs me, I'll be committing seppuku.

No argument on that point from me.

Not really...

I like VT quite a bit but I'd be happy if UM was hit by an asteroid and wiped off the face of the earth.

Both stadiums are small.
UNC 50k
NC State 57k
that’s basically the same.. definitely not a wide margin
