ESPN must have gotten skittish about that Saturday ratings (having no truly important games scheduled), and made the powerhouse move to give them a gratuitous bump. Bravo, I say.

That is not an official statement from the SEC, just some writer referring to last weekend games as Nov. 30th. I wouldn't accept that date as a from day at all. I would bet my house it will still be Thanksgiving day (also considered part of the last weekend of the season).

The bigger question will be, since LSU is losing the A&M game, will we get a permanent opponent? I always looked forward to playing Arkansas and then A&M on Thanksgiving weekend. I don't want to lose that stability.

Per Ole Miss AD it still may be on Thanksgiving…Hasn’t been decided yet. Ole Miss and Kiffin want it off Thanksgiving.

I want it on the Primetime Friday night slot ABC that Texas v Texas Tech was on this past week.

The fact is ESPN has been making money from rating on THanksgiving. Both Starkville/Oxford benefit way more economically from a Saturday game. When its played on Thanksgiving its a ghost town that weekend following.

Awesome! I know folks that don't go to the Egg Bowl enjoy it being on Thanksgiving, but for those of us that do go - it sucks trying to squeeze in a holiday with the family and then rush off to the game.

So assuming it's not on Thanksgiving since they brought back the Egg Bowl on Thanksgiving in 2013:

2013 @ Starkville: Thanksgiving
2014 @ Oxford: Saturday
2015 @ Starkville: Saturday
2016 @ Oxford: Saturday
2017 @ Starkville: Thanksgiving
2018 @ Oxford: Thanksgiving
2019 @ Starkville: Thanksgiving
2020 @ Oxford: Saturday
2021 @ Starkville: Thanksgiving
2022 @ Oxford: Thanksviging
2023 @ Starkville: Thanksgiving
2024 @ Oxford: Saturday

Since 2013 State will have only hosted one non-Thanksgiving Egg Bowl (Dak poops his pants) while we'll have had four. Maybe that's why I've grown to feel like whenever the Egg Bowl is on Thursday it's @ State & when it's on Saturday it's @ Ole Miss.
