Because by you bumping this thread in relation to my last thread you are implying I made a dumb thread here when in all actuality you don’t have a clue because you just admitted to it. You made a post laughing at what I replied to you with in this thread. That’s what it has to do with you dumbass. Nice try though.

It doesn’t matter if you’re the one who bumped it or not. Your post still implies the same thing. And the rest of it still applies. Funny how the only thing you picked out to respond to is the one point that was irrelevant.

preventing a complete, unmitigated corruption of college athletics and preserving some semblance of concern to preserve the "student" inside of student-athlete is what should truly matter. It is a major change that would need to evolve slowly and carefully to ensure transparency, fairness (to the best degree) and the ability to course correct down the road when it inevitably starts to head off the rails.

This contention is a load of crap

Graduation rates are at a all time high, in FB & MBB tons of players graduate early in some cases with 2 years of eligibility left

The Portal has grad transfers up the wazoo

Actually Academic integrity despite the UNC Black Studies fiasco, is at an all time high

Using the "this will harm Academics crutch" to keep the players from making money is a load of crap

It is a basic Constitutional Right to own and profit from your own likeness and as far as I'm concerned the NCAA isn't the Fed Govt and doesn't supercede the US Constitution

The NCAA needs to figure out a way to allow players to get endorsements AND have the schools pay them bigger stipends

85 FB players + 13 MBB players at the Top75 colleges gross anywhere from $80MM to $200MM each year

The real issue is that the non Revenue - aka Welfare Sports are either Female or majority white and cannot get TV Contracts because the public refuses to support those sports so we continue with this SHAM SYSTEM where 100 guys - majority BLK males BTW, generate money to be transferred to benefit everyone else

Simply take care of the producers first and better than the welfare recipients and then things will be more fair, just like in your industry

I agree that breaking the NCAA would be ideal because of the blatant hypocrisy. But let’s look at the state of California. They signed this into law recently. The stipulation should be that only student athletes who are residents of that state (grew up there and attended high school there and played sports there) should be granted the player likeness profit. That means that California schools shouldn’t go after any out of state talent from the recruiting services. It’s not like they have to. They are the largest state population wise.

You mean MLB

Once they enroll in College they can't get drafted until they complete their JUCO eligibility or if they enroll in a 4 yr school they have to stay for 3 yrs

MLB allows guys to get drafted out of HS not College baseball

The courts have ruled that the NFL can collectively bargain with a Union to set a reasonable barrier to enter the league, that barrier is 3 yrs out of HS, not likely to change given the brutality of NFL FB

You’re very wrong. What’s most likely to happen is that the ncaa will concede before it gets to that because if it does the NCAA will go broke. That’s not just me saying it. In case you’re unaware, the courts haven’t been too kind to the NCAA up to this point.

I’m not going to spend my time calling out certain posters and copying and pasting some of the responses to this post, but I just want to remind some of that you don’t know what you’re talking about on certain issues. You should know what those issues are for you and shut up instead of making a fool of yourself.
