I didn’t. Back in those days you really didn’t do the advance placement or skipping grades like you do now.

Like pretty much everyone with an IQ above room temperature HS bored the hell out of me. My Chemistry teacher though let me design my own experiments. That was fun (especially the laughing gas I ginned up)

Dixie merely means the south. But, Bama in its place would be fine if they have to do it.

If that means Alabama can be bought like a cheap back alley whore, then I agree with you.

This statement is a strawman and makes no sense.

Don’t Alabama license plates say “heart of Dixie” on them?

Exactly! Hey Bama! Stop accepting so many frickin out-of-state students and you won't be dealing with this! Hard to believe Auburn has a higher percentage of Alabama students than UA does...

Heart of Dixie is still on AL license plates.

State Coat of Arms, see below.

Coat of Arms is worn via patch by all state troopers.

Washington Post

National Review

It’s not a straw man argument because people are for a particular bill, law, or movement until it negatively effects them.

For example, many of the residents of Martha’s Vineyard were good with illegal immigration until they were brought to their doorstep.

Like other states, Alabama has several tags from which you can choose. In the past, the tag included the unofficial slogan, "Heart of Dixie," but not always. The new standard tag for 2022 does not say that.
