Don’t Alabama license plates say “heart of Dixie” on them?

It's a bunch of goober, underwater basket-weaving major types with little to nothing productive to do on campus, or are probably burning through daddy's college fund, doing stuff like this.

That is a result of more students from out of state than in state.

What percentage of University of Alabama students are out of state?
In 2021, only 42.1% of UA's fall undergraduate students were from Alabama. The remaining 57.9% came from out-of-state and 92 foreign countries. For the 2022-2023 academic year, the university enrolled a total of 38,645 students, toppling its 2017 record of 38,563.Sep 13, 2022

They can take it out. People will still sing it. It's a region of the country. Not a racial term. The N word is a racial term. Damn, people make connections about the dumbest stuff.

I kid you not, mark it down, there will be a day when calling yourself a southerner will be deemed racist.

Took Organic, Quantitative Analysis, Calculus and Accounting one semester.

Organic 2, P Chem, Calc 2, Macroeconomics and Systems Analysis the next.

Burned out, decided to take a semester off, got married and never went back.

Made a good bit in International Construction instead. Designed everything I’ve ever built.

Amazon Prime Music still has Randy Newman's "Rednecks" available which uses the N word repeatedly.

They have the endorsement of only two groups on campus: Social Work Association for Cultural Awareness (likely where this trash movement originated from) and the Black Faculty and Staff Association. This is a fringe group that caught the attention of some liberal journalist at AL.com. Pay them no mind.

Am I crazy or is that shockingly low? Or is that the norm everywhere now?

I didn't mention anything about left- or right-leaning. I'm sure mathematicians are very left-leaning, but I'm also sure they took their studies seriously.

If you have enough time to organize such a pointless cause, no matter the political angle, you are not studying anything serious as a student.
