This Bama fan is against it because, unless we just blow you out which we won't, it will not be a legit title in my book. We didn't take care of business when it mattered and so I don't think we deserve another shot for all the marbles.

If it had been a blowout I'd agree. But that game certainly could have had a different outcome. The best two teams in the country deserve a shot at the title.

I will admit that I have spoken with some LSU fans that are not posters that are scared of the rematch. I think the majority of the people here are not. Personally, I think the best two teams in the nation should play each other for the crystal and if it is Bama and LSU then bring it on.

Nuh uh! They will quit.

It's in a dome.

Miles has a month to prepare, and only has to travel 80 miles. We can saddle up our alligators and be down there in no time flat

college football is a fricking joke. LSU has to stay undefeated, play an extra game to get to the BCSNCG. While Alabama, a team LSU beat on the road gets to sit on their arse and have the media vote them in.

My thoughts exactly. I'd figure it to be a split title (in a close loss to Alabama on a neutral field). In an ideal world a best of three would take place.. game two on a neutral field, any potential game three in tiger stadium. I think LSU would win it outright though If we get past Arkansas and Georgia with no injuries at least.

I don't really get that logic. If an NFL team beats someone in the regular season and loses in the Super Bowl it isn't a split title. The same is true in every sport. Congrats for winning in the regular season, sorry you couldn't win when it counted.

I would think a split championship would be more possible if Arkansas wins and you have SEC West at 1,2,3 going into the BCS game. The third team could have claim to be better if they beat the BCS champion and didn't get a chance to play for it on the field in the title game.

The loser of the BCS game will not be AP champions though.

That being said, sometimes the systems works out for you. A 2 loss LSU team was helped by the system. A 2 loss Georgia didn't like the system so much. We've had teams lose their conference like Nebraska and went to the championship game. The system is bad. I don't understand all these every game matters people. When everyone has one or two losses, then none of the games matter... it's all a vote.

This year a 1 loss Alabama team might be helped by the system. We lost and our only shot at the title game was for every team in the top 10 to poop their pants. Lucky for us there are a lot of dirty britches. But LSU shouldn't complain about the system because it really did help them in 2007.

If Bama wins a close rematch splitting it is by far the most accurate final outcome.

regular vs post season.... small but distinct difference. Must take care of business when it counts

At this point, after reading so much butt hurt from inferior conferences around the country, I'm glad there will be an All SEC national title game.

If it works out that Alabama backs their way into the BCS game without playing in the SECCG, I will never laugh out loud at Les Miles again for landing on his feet like the Cheshire cat.

Every LSU poster I've read on this site begs to differ.

We just think it's bullshite that we came to your house and won (obviously only barely, but a win is a win). As a result, you guys get an easier path to the NCG?

If the places were reversed would LSU fans still feel this way???

LSU fans need to STFU about this because it is what it is.

True. Things could be worse- you could be an Ole Miss fan.

Beat Saban twice? I don't know...instinct tells me that Bama has this.

Ummm. I'm all for a rematch. So not every LSU fan.

Well if your instinct led you to your previous answers then I like our chances at home in NOLA, in a dome, with a month to prepare. You thought we were fast on grass and spice, wait till you see us on turf.

Sorry memphis the LSU fans around here were so insufferable leading up to the first game. I went from saying LSU was a slight favorite to cheering for Bama. Do you know how dirty I felt rooting for bama. I almost turned in my Aubie fan card and gear.

It will be another hard fought match with LSU again in my mind a slight favorite were that game to happen.

Excellent point

Always thought that the shame for the sec team that finally lost a bcs NC under their watch would be unbearable. However, under these circumstances, I think it would be acceptable

Now on to our OP:

Nobody is afraid of playing Bama again. We just think it's bullshite that we came to your house and won (obviously only barely, but a win is a win). As a result, you guys get an easier path to the NCG?

However, given the events of this weekend, there's no real debate about #1 vs. #2. All other teams with a valid argument shite themselves.

So, fair or not, we will have to play the SECCG and beat Bama twice in order to get the crystal.

LSU fans need to STFU about this because it is what it is. The BCS pairs up #1 and #2. Future upsets notwithstanding, it is very clear. Good luck and be prepared to have your manhood taken twice.

If Arkie beats you next week LSU will be THIRD in BCS and out of SECCG and BCS. Don't think so?.... wait and see.
