Capable, yes.
But 23 points against Auburn, where Georgia put up 21 will be considered

I’ve been told over and over again that those types of games don’t count. Look at what we’ve done since! Isn’t that how this works?

Bro!

They are shutting down some of the most DYNAMIC offenses in America!

Just look at these offensive rankings!

- Vanderbilt - (#126)

- Murrah State - (#130+)

- Tennessee - (#109)

- Kentucky - (#95)

- Missouri - (#82)

- South Carolina - (#79)

- Auburn - (#64)

- Florida - (#62)

- Notre Dame (#57)

No way LSU's offense can hang with those world beaters!

I see a good defense. Probably the SEC's best this year. But I don't see special.

I was simply responding to teh OP. It's an undeniable fact we are the best defense you'll see this year.

Maybe, maybe not.

My point was that we don't know because you haven't played a team with an offensive pulse. None. Not one.

So what are you basing your assessment that yours it the "best defense we've seen" this year off of? If it's undeniable like you say, then how?

You didn't against Auburn. In fact you scored 2 points more than Georgia antiquated, awful offense.

The truth is that we don't know because they haven't even played a good offense let alone an elite one like ours.

What elite defense has LSU played against? Auburn...annnnnd......
quote:

Bottom Line: UGA's defense has padded its stats against terrible offenses and is in for a rude awakening against LSU and Burrow. LSU's much maligned defense has played 3 top 25 offenses this year, and the best offense UGA's Defense has played is ranked 40th (which is ranked higher than UGA's shitty offense ).
And LSU has padded their offensive stats against
GaSouthern
Texas (Which we know is weak this year)
NWST (?)
USU (?)
MState
Alabama (Who we know has tons of injuries and is much weaker than years past)

I mean...it works both ways, right? The one really elite defense you went up against stymied you. Auburn. Made your offense look like Georgia's.

Don't get me wrong...I think LSU's offense is everything you think it is. I am just showing you that the same argument can be used both ways.

Because you asked a dumb question. There’s no way of knowing how either will react until they play. Last time LSU played a similar defense they scored 23. UGA hasn’t played a similar offense.

Took 10 games for a team to score a rushing touchdown. Tied for the NCAA lead in shutouts.

But nothing special.

UGA has a statistically better defense than auburn and auburn held LSU to 23. Not saying it’ll happen, but it is a possibility.

Christ...... can any of you answer the question? What does UGA do that will give LSU problems? We knew Auburn’s front 7 was elite. Do you have that? Is it your secondary that will shut down LSU?

Are y’all all incapable of talking football?

Outliers happen, just like UGA scoring 42 against UT. A statistical anomaly.

uga can win. Fromm is a gamer at times and Swift is next level good.

If LSU manages the game well and doesn't have a few turnovers I suspect they will win by 10 or so.

Fine:

Our run defense is the best in the country. We have rendered every team we have played this year completey one dimensional because of a combination of line and backer play and fundamentally sound gap assignments.

Out havoc rate while not elite has been enough to disrupt the opponents pass game. Our man coverage in the secondary with long and athletic DBs has all but eliminated explosive plays.

We give up 5-10 yard short passes but that’s about it

We also scored 40+ on two defenses similarly ranked to AU.

My question, since you don't seem to be grasping: what offensive juggernaut has UGA's defense stopped this year? An "elite" defense should have at least one good skin on the wall, no?

Not really, LSU's offense has faced much better competition than UGA's defense has. That's my point.

Feel free, again, to show me which offensive juggernaut UGA has stopped this year.
