Maybe one day you’ll actually win something meaningful.

This thread has reached 13 pages which ain't too bad for a moderate troll but the whole thing can be summed up pretty briefly.
Clemson, whether they are winning titles or not, sucks and it's because of their fans. This is just as true today as it was when I was younger. Some things never change

My favorite was when OP didn’t know what 50% of 2 was

I just went back to the first page and looked at the up and down votes. Idk if it was a troll, seems like a lot of people agree

Thanks for the history lesson. We’re talking about the current landscape of college football. UGA won a national championship almost 4 decades ago. You gonna brag about that?
So in other words the preseason rankings are based on perception mainly? Yes, I would agree with that.
Classic... When confronted with evidence that challenges your original hypothesis, ignore it and revert to ad hominem attacks that you think make you seem like an e-badass... Well done. That's page 7 out of the playbook, right?

And the ACC has a winning record head to head against the SEC in the CFP era. Must not be too horrid.
29-28 record with many games left to play in this season...
10 of those wins are from Clemson. Another 5 of them are from FSU pre-meltdown.
So greater than 33% of all ACC wins in that period came from one team and more than 50% came from 2.
On a quick glance, Alabama was only responsible for 5 or 6 wins, same for Georgia.
So basically, outside of 2 programs, the ACC has not just had a losing record, but a roughly 67% losing record against the SEC. And one of those programs (FSU) no longer resembles its former self in any meaningful way.
Not to mention that literally no UGA fan has gone around touting our SOS. It's better than Clemson, by a fairly wide margin, but that's not really saying much.

No, but Clemson’s ownership of the SEC and the recent head to head record between the two conferences suggests it’s pretty close.
No it doesn't. Are you really this slow on the uptake?
Nobody is arguing that Clemson is good. Clemson is having a great run. But take Clemson out of the equation and the run between ACC and SEC isn't nearly as impressive and you know it.
After Clemson, the next best ACC team would finish around 7th or 8th in the SE....MAYBE.
quote:All you have to fall back on is Clemson. You still avoid my question and everybody on the board knows why.
All you have to fall back on are the current ranking through week 1 and your preseason SOS national title.
Who, besides Clemson would have a chance to make the playoff?
Congrats on dominating a crappy conference.

Who mentioned Florida? Would you like to address Georgia and Auburn and LSU?

Congrats on your SOS ranking though.
You do understand that SOS stands for Strength of Schedule, right? Imagine having so many highly ranked teams at the end of the year after playing one of the toughest schedules in the country?
quote:We are working on it. Congrats on your 3 year run?
Maybe one day you’ll actually win something meaningful.
I still don't understand why you won't answer my question. Oh, wait. yes I do.

All SEC east teams except South Carolina have soft schedules
Posted on 9/6/19 at 7:07 am to King Kirby
I agree with the little kitty OP on preseason rankings have barely little meaning. We all know the only reason Syracuse is ranked preseason is to help Clemson's schedule. I doubt the cuse wins more then 7 or 8 games and will not be ranked by the end of the season.
Lets not forget they will likely once again see a 7-5 team in the ACC CG.

Syracuse has a damn good head coach. The program is on the rise... until that coach gets plucked for a better school.
Still. Coaching can only do so much with the talent on hand.

Now let's do a post asking the mods to get rid of the Clemson trash and see the up and down votes.
I bet it will seem like a lot of people agree with that too.

We dominate the SEC as well.
I never claimed anyone in the ACC was a contender. I’m not delusional like you.

Congrats you won a bunch of games against Clemson back when jean shorts and mustaches were in style.
Posted on 9/6/19 at 2:55 pm to RD Dawg
And Hershel Walker never scored on Clemson. Fact.
