The projected bracket could change but the ones I’ve seen show the winner of a UGA - Indiana game (which would almost certainly be Georgia) will play Texas.

I’m assuming that projection supposes that Texas wins this weekend?

What would happen if Georgia wins this Saturday? Would texas play Indiana and then the winner play Georgia?

If Texas loses to Georgia, Texas would get a 5 or 6 seed. Georgia would get the 2.

I think like in years past, the final bracket will reflect less about actual rankings and more about creating the best matchups for tv ratings.

So Georgia-Texas could possibly happen a third time, but they’ll finagle the bracket so that it happens in the NC.

This the only way they should plan for rematches, if it can be helped.

If Georgia wins again that won't be that compelling of a matchup. The viewers will have already seen that game twice.

It may change after this weekend. If the games get out of hand.

Agree. Playing the same team three times in a season is a lot.

Another reason that conference championship games are a problem. The legacy cfb structure is not compatible with these conferences and this playoff system.

Penn State and Oregon could play for a 3rd time as well..

and perhaps 4 weeks from today on January 1st..

Idk if that changes play calling or not.. on both sides..

Maybe Kirby lays down and plays vanilla D not caring if they win or lose..

Maybe Sark does the same.. it's a strange concept.. but you can make the argument it would be stupid to show your whole hand right now.. for both..
