This is what happens when LSU sucks for a damn decade

LSU BAMA should be the 11 game

THE LSU Bama game will be a much better game. ND has ZERO chance at being competitive. Georgia will name their score.
how?
Bama just shut a #6 end of season LSU out at home.
It will not be a better game.
the hype to this LSU/BAMA game needs to die.

Agreed. Until LSU can beat Alabama, there’s no reason for this game to be in prime time. The last two meetings haven’t been that competitive and LSU has been shut out in two of the last three meetings.
exactly, they have to move it this year.
there is no point to have this game at 8.

George, curious to here your take here.
why have LSU/BAMA at night on CBS when we cant hold our end of the bargain?
it hasnt been a game since 2012.

LSU has far more talent than ND. They don’t even have the athletes to compete with Georgia. LSU has a chance in every game they play based on talent alone.
against Bama we are fricked currently.
someone else needs to have the night slot and I think this is the year CBS realizes it.
we aren't competitive against Bama currently. The CBS brass has to see this and make a move to a new game.

I get the Baton Rouge games being at night. They are generally hard hitting games with an insane crowd and are close in the 4th (last year not withstanding). People nationally enjoy those, I think. I would as a neutral observer.
I don't really know why they put the Tuscaloosa version on there anymore. Just not as good a sell nationally, unless LSU is 10-0 or something.
But, I'm not really sure what other game they'd put there. Alabama/Auburn maybe, but it's hard to pick that in advance with Auburn's up and downs. Georgia/Auburn same thing. Georgia/Florida maybe. An interesting cross-divisional game.

Did you not realize that ND made the CFB playoffs last year and finished with a top 5 ranking?
The UGA/ND will be one of top rated regular season games in '19. It will be a minimum a top 10 regular season game.
This is 2019 not 1977 or 1988. ND is 0-6 in BCS/Playoff games with the average score being something like 38-8.
They aren’t competitive. They are a relic based on name only. You honestly think they deserved to be in the playoffs? They weren’t even a top 10 team. The last time we played them the score could have been 80-14 if we didn’t shut it down at halftime. It wasn’t a big deal or a big win. It was just another game for us. Nobody that isn’t Catholic cares about ND football. They are irrelevant. Hilarious that it is such a big deal to you guys to play them. Welcome to 1960.

Doubt it. CBS ain’t showing a non conference game in prime time. Maybe ABC will pick it up.

I understand the intention, NFL talent everywhere and Saban used to coach there, etc.
But we have become Tennessee in this game, Bama just owns it, why not put the cocktail party at night or something?

Hahaha I mean I wouldn't go that far. The game is generally a slugfest, especially in Baton Rouge. LSU is generally 9-1 or 8-2 and has a Top 10 ranking. People see Alabama/LSU and they are intrigued.
And, Alabama and LSU have been basically the 2 most consistent Top 15ish teams for the past decade (along with maybe Georgia). So they can basically guarantee that game will be a Top 20 game and probably a Top 10 game. There aren't many other games they can do that with in August.
That's my guess.

I wish they'd change it up - the night game atmosphere would be great for some random promising games.
UGA/A&M
LSU/UF
UGA/Auburn
UGA/ND would be fun
Whats funny is I love those games being on at night when my team plays a day or road game, I don't much like it when my team is playing it it (unless it's a gigantic game and then it's frickin great).

[quote]Yes it is, it's an SEC home game. They have "SEC on CBS" games when UF hosts FSU, we host tech, etc.
People keep getting so confused by the fact we're playing ND, or any OOC team. The opponent couldn't matter less...it's an SEC home game. That's all that matters. /quote]
Too bad you can't get that point across to djsdawg.

WGAS old man.My point still stands that ND is a top 10 program that still has a huge following and the game will still put up a big number.
It's unbelievabley pathetic that you can't grasp this and as senile and as you seem you probably do think it's 1977.

God your fricking think. The argument was about putting up a huge number on TV and you immediately responded with a senile comment with absolutely no comprehension of how the SEC
TV contract works.

So why would CBS make this their only prime time game of the year?
Do you realize what year we're in?
