Not that it changes much, but LSU also had 37 wins vacated (including 2 bowls). All over 7th round lineman Vadal Alexander.....

UGA and LSU are very close

No doubt, and that’s great

That doesn't legitimize the claim. AP awarded Texas the title prior to the Longhorns' loss to Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl. Meanwhile, Nebraska went undefeated by beating LSU in the Orange Bowl. Nebraska has the more legit claim.
My point is that many historically good college football programs have dubious claims to national titles. I'm not embarrassed by Georgia's claim to 1942 (AP gave Ohio State the title prior to the bowl games), but it wouldn't bother me if UGA dropped the claim.
I'm good with the solid hold Georgia has on three titles. They're all absolutely legit and I think it's interesting that the Alabama fan who questioned one of them won't explain.

This is a weird thread. Both UGA and LSU are top tier programs - UGA as of lately and LSU historically. UGA has had a much better run lately than LSU has, but other than that what's your point?

LSU fan here but they are objectively even with hardly any separation.
Granted UGA’s 2 recent titles is what makes it basically even.
That said LSU has more national championships. If UGA can claim 1942, lsu can claim 1908.
And LSU has 3 Heisman to 2 for UGA.

Yeah, but do you actually know what happened?
The CEO of the OLOL Foundation (not the hospital) was embezzling money. He apparently used some of this money to pay Alexander and Davey (which he received a large kick back). He also chartered flights for friends and family to fly privately to Saints and LSU games.
Funes is a piece of shite. What he did was wrong. He did not work for LSU. LSU was not stealing from a Children's Hospital.

There is no argument which team has played a more challenging schedule historically.
But, they're pretty damn equal, objectively speaking.

Funes’s father is rolling over In his Grave at his coward of a son. His father was my pediatrician as a toddler.

That's illogical, and reeks of recency bias. The SEC East was a harder division in the 90's and 2000's. It was even a harder division the last couple years of the divisions' existence.

Frick Jawja, but in this thread the OP is correct, LSU is more on par with UF historically than UG.
